Recruiting Interview: CB Corey Straughter, Neville High School

Neville High School has been one of the best high school football programs in the last decade. Over the years, they have the fourth most state championships for Louisiana High Schools trailing only John Curtis, Haynesville, and Evangel Christian. The school has also produced some great players such as John Diarse (former LSU Wide receiver), Rashard Lawrence (LSU committ), and Kavontae Turpin (TCU). Just to name a few, but maybe the next great player to come out of this school is the guy we are going to interview today.

Hahnville DT Tre'Vas Chambers has all the tools to become a great defensive lineman. He's big enough to play on the defensive line at a D-1 school and at the same time, he has the quickness to chase down running backs in the backfield and to get around offensive lineman. He can stuff the run and rush the passer.

East St. John QB Marquise Darensbourg has had himself a very interesting high school career. He was the starting QB at Destrehan as a sophomore and has transferred to East St. John last year. For whatever team he is on, coaches would love to have a guy like Marquise to come in and be the quarterback for the team.

Calvary Baptist WR Kyle Jones is an exciting player as he is not one of the biggest guys on the field as he only stands 5'9 at 190 lbs but he is quick and explosive and is a threat to make a 5 yard gain into a 70 yard touchdown. He is quick enough and fast enough to outrun people at the same time has enough power to break tackles and run people over.

Denham Springs TE Dauton Sibley is your prototypical tight end. He is a big guy who is 6'4 260 and can probably play on the offensive line but he is quick and fast enough to go down the field and catch passes. Dauton can develop into a really good college football player and can be one of the key factors for Denham Springs to improve from last season.
