LAFM: Name, position, school?

My name is Chris Black, and I am a  QB/WR at Southwood High School.

 

LAFM: Current height and weight?

6-0, 165

 

LAFM: Current ACT score and GPA?

GPA 3.2

 

LAFM: 40 yard dash, Max Bench Press, Max cleans, Max Squat?

I run a 4.5 40/yard dash. My max bench is 230, and max squat is 315.

 

LAFM: How is the season going for you and your team?

It is rough right now, but hopefully we can get it together now that it is the end of the season.

 

 

 

LAFM: What has been your best game so far this season?

My best game was against Minden High School. I threw the game winning touchdown with 6 seconds left. I rushed for 260 yards and had 2 rushing tds as well.

 

LAFM: Who is your favorite football player of all time?

Michael Vick- He is a running QB just like me, and he was very good in his prime.

 

LAFM: How old were you when you started playing and where?

I was 4 when I started to play little league flag football. The G-Men Tigers was our name.

 

LAFM: Do you have any family members or friends that have had a big influence on you as you play football?

My mother, brother, and sister. All 3 have always supported me.

 

LAFM: If football does not work out for you, what do you see yourself doing? Have you thought of a major in college?

I would like to be a kinesiology major, or I could go into teaching. I would like to be a P.E. Teacher and become a high school football coach.

 

LAFM: Are there any schools that are recruiting you? Do you have any favorites?

The coaches say I am being recruited but they do not want me involved with it till after the season.

 

LAFM: What positions are you  being recruited for? What is your favorite positions and why?

I am being recruited as an Athlete. My favorite position is QB because I have been playing it all my life. It comes natural almost like a gift.

 

LAFM: What makes your school special?

Our principal, Jeff Roberts, stays on our athletes and always supports us to make sure we have a great education. And he wants us to succeed.

About Reid Althage

Reid is from Harvey, LA and went to Brother Martin High School. He played men's NAIA soccer at LSU Shreveport for his first 2 years college. His junior year, Reid transferred to Baton Rouge and graduated from LSU with a Sports Administration Degree. He started with LAFM as an Intern in April 2013 and was hired in October. Reid loves anything to do with sports (Saints, Pelicans, and Liverpool FC Fan), the outdoors, and family/friends.
