At 6-3, 290 pounds, Josh Cox might be the most talented Offensive Lineman Prospect I’ve ever seen come out of IA Cedar Creek HS. His mom is a teacher at the school, he just won the Javelin throw at the State Track meet for all of IA, with a throw of 172-11 and finished 6th in the discus with a throw of 128. Josh carries almost a 4.0 GPA in the classroom, and plays both DL and OL for the team. I had a chance to meet Josh at the school back in March, and he’s very mature, and you can tell a big time leader for the team. He has good feet, strong and what I like the most is he’s aggressive every play in the game. This kid has been a starter since his true freshman season at Cedar Creek.
I can see Josh Cox playing at 300 pounds as an OG in DI football and being big time effective, but if he gets overlooked by the big guys then he would be a big time player in IAA.
