It has been good. we have built a lot of chemistry. every body is on the same track on the same goal. we have a young team but alot of guys are stepping. Now we are 2-0 in district.

LAFM: What has been your best game so far this season?

I played really well in our last game against Chalmette High School. I had 2 touchdowns and rushed for over 120 yards. One of my touchdowns was a punt return.

LAFM: Who is your favorite football player of all time?

I will have to name 2 players: Patrick Peterson and Adrian Peterson

Patrick Peterson- He has a relentless attitude to keep going and improving. He is always expecting more out of himself.

Adrian Peterson- He is a phenomenal athlete with a great work ethic. You just cannot help but like the guy.

LAFM: Do you have any family members or friends that have had a big influence on you as you play football?

My parents had a huge influence on me. Both passed away when I was a kid, but they always encouraged me when it came to sports. When I first started playing football, I did not really enjoy it. I broke my arm and had to sit out for half a season. All of a sudden I hated just watching. My dad reminded me that I have to not be scared and enjoy playing. He saw potential in me from the beginning. My mom is where I inherited my speed. She was a track athlete at Southern. She was also always encouraging when it came to sports.

LAFM: If football does not work out for you, what do you see yourself doing? Have you thought of a major in college?

I am in love with with science. I am thinking of going into Nutritional Science or Kinesiolgy.

You will have to talk to coach Brooks about anybody recruiting me. I am waiting till after this season to look at my options.

The Teachers reach out to every student and give us their time. They are always their for you. Everybody is a part of the school and has pride in the school. The school itself feels like home.
