Noel Ellis |
This season went well for my team and me. I was selected to play in the Under Armor All-American game, and my team and I won the 4a state championship.
LAFM: What was your best game this season, and why?
My best game this season was against Salmen in week 4. We both were undefeated. I recorded an interception and two fumble recoveries, one of which I brought back for a 60-yard touchdown to seal the game up. We won 20-0.
LAFM: Current height and weight?
5’10”-170 lbs
LAFM: 40-yard dash time?
4.52 seconds
LAFM: Who is your football idol and why?
My football idol is Tyrann Mathieu because of his swagger on the field, and his playmaking ability. I try to base my play just like him.
LAFM: How old were you when you started playing and where?
When I first started playing football I was 7 years old at Terrytown playground.
LAFM: Did anybody in your family play either college or pro ball?
My Dad played college football at Tulane from 1997-2001.
LAFM: If football doesn’t work out, what do you see yourself doing? Have you thought of a major?
If football doesn’t work out I plan to major in broadcast journalism. I like to write, and I want to be an ESPN Analyst someday.
LAFM: What positions are you being recruited for? Which is your favorite position, why?
I’m being recruited as a cornerback. Cornerback is my favorite position because I’m very instinctive at the position, and I’ve been playing it ever since park ball. When I first started playing cornerback as a kid my mindset was just follow the receiver wherever he goes, and play the ball when it’s throw. As I got older, I started learning more techniques and more of the fundamentals. The position became even easier for me, but I still have room for improvement.
LAFM: What schools are recruiting you, and do you have any favorites yet?
I’m currently committed to Texas A&M, and I’m very solid in my commitment. It is a good school and I like what’s going on there.
LAFM: Current GPA and ACT score?
GPA: 2.8 ACT: 18
