LAFM: How did the season go?

Courtney Rutledge
Courtney Rutledge (Green #29)

Our season didn’t go to well. We finished at 2-7. I think I had a pretty descent season I finished with the second most tackles on the team and had three interceptions.

LAFM: Who were you most looking forward to play this year and how did you do?

I was looking forward to playing Rummel because last year that was the only team to throw a touchdown pass on me. This year was a new outcome, I held there receiver to one catch. He was a good receiver with nice size, so im sure he touched the ball a lot more than once a game.

LAFM: Current height and weight?       `

I am currently 6”1 and I weigh about 170.

LAFM: Do you consider yourself a quick guy or a fast guy?

I would have to say that I am a combination of both. Im very quick but with my height and stride, I am fast also.

LAFM: 40-yard dash time?

LAFM: Who is your football idol and why?

I would have to say my football idol is Deion “Primetime” Sanders. The man was amazing. Incredibly unbelievable speed. Literately no quarterback could throw on him or he would make them pay, catching interceptions and dancing into the touchdown.

LAFM: How old were you when you started playing and where?

I was 9 years old when I started playing organized football at Slidell Youth Football Association. But I had been playing unorganized with my cousins since I was about 6.

LAFM: Did anybody in your family play either college or pro ball?

LAFM: Top 3 favorite colleges and why?

LSU, Ohio St. and Florida. These are three very good teams under very good coaches who are known for winning. Who doesn’t like a winning team with large fan bases?

LAFM: Did you go to any camps this past summer? Which ones and how were they?

I attended Southern Miss and Louisiana Tech’s camp. I enjoyed both but really liked Southern Miss, I constantly bragged about that camp.

LAFM: If football doesn’t work out, what do you see yourself doing? Have you thought of a major?

If football doesn’t work I see myself working in the medical field. I am majoring in nursing in college.

LAFM: What positions are you being recruited for? Which is your favorite position?

I am being recruited for Cornerback. I can see myself playing a little receiver, but corner is where my bread and butter is.

LAFM: Current GPA and ACT score?

I have a 3.2 GPA and I made an 18 on my ACT.
