LAFM: How is the season preparation going thus far?
Season going good so far leading the team in tackles and has 4 sacks and 4 forced fumbles thus far. Says, “The team’s record doesn’t reflect the hard work we have done.”
LAFM: Who are you looking forward to play this year and why?
Scotlandville, I am looking forward to try and end the seaon on a high note so we can have something to build next season on.
LAFM: Current height and weight?
LAFM: Do you consider yourself a quick guy or a fast guy?
Quick, I do everything as quick as possible as possible on the field; you can’t be fast on D-line you have to have that quick burst off the line to make tackles in the backfield.
LAFM: 40-yard dash time?
LAFM: Who is your football idol and why?
Sam Montgomery, LSU Defensive End, he leads the d-line in everything he does. He leaves it all out on the field and he plays with true heart. I don’t think anyone plays with that kind of passion anymore. This is type of football player I am.
LAFM: How old were you when you started playing and where?
I was seven when I started playing for the Walker Renegades.
LAFM: Did anybody in your family play either college or pro ball?
LAFM: Top 3 favorite colleges and why?
1. LSU- always wanted to call himself a tiger
2. ULL- If I can’t be a tiger the next best thing is a Cajun, after all, I am a Louisiana boy
3. Northwestern- because my family has always gone there and if I can’t play 1A ball then I want to continue with the family tradition.
LAFM: Did you go to any camps this summer? Which ones and how were they?
LSU defensive line camp. Coach Haley opened my eyes to a lot of new techniques I could use to overpower my opponent and become a better football player. That was a great camp and I look forward to going next summer. I wanted to go to more camps but I spent the rest of the summer working in the gym trying to get prepared for this season.
LAFM: If football doesn’t work out, what do you see yourself doing? Have you thought of a major?
Kinesiology, I would like to be a coach somewhere if football doesn’t work out. I would like to be a strength and conditioning coach because I love to be in the gym. I love working out and powerlifting.
LAFM: What positions are you being recruited for? Which is your favorite position?
I am being looked at to be a Defensive Tackle. My favorite position are along the defensive front, regardless of where. I love to be up front where all the action is. I hate playing on the offensive line because I get called for holding too much.
LAFM: Current GPA and ACT score?
My sophomore year I took the ACT and scored a 23. I plan to do better the next time I take the ACT. I take my schooling seriously.
