LAFM: Name, position, and School?

My name is Tyler St. Germain, and I played Kicker for St. John High School. I am walking-on to play at Nicholls State.

LAFM: Current height and weight?

 6-2, 176 lbs

LAFM:  Any impressive accolades or stats?

I was All-District my junior and senior year. I was First Team All-Parish my junior and senior year. I hold the record at my school for longest field goal (44 yards).

LAFM: When did you first get in touch with the Nicholls?

They got in touch with me after my junior year. They hold a junior day in February that I went to. We have stayed in touch ever since. They asked me to walk-on in February.

LAFM Were there any other schools you were looking at?

I had Millsaps and Murray University both looking at me.

LAFM: Why did you choose Nicholls state? What did you like about your visit?

You know, it is like a whole other home over there in Thibodeaux. It felt like the right place for me. I liked the coaching staff as well as the campus which was really nice.

LAFM: Who are some people that stand out as major factors helping you along the way of your recruiting process?

I would say my dad and Coach Cricket Crockett.  My dad really helped me make my final decision. Coach helped out by talking to the college coaches for me and sending my tape out.

LAFM: What do you bring to the Nicholls Football Program?

You know, I bring a sense of competition to the field. I am a good athlete who is ready to play. I want to compete for the job.

LAFM: What is one thing you think that you need to improve upon or adjust to going to the next level?

I need to improve on kickoffs. Basically, I need to get my leg a lot stronger.

LAFM: What advice would you give on the recruiting process to the 2015 class?
It is a very tough process. You just have to play the waiting game. Be patient and everything will fall into place. You just have to wait it out.

LAFM: What are you excited about for next year? What are your goals?
I want to compete. Like I said I want to get that starting job. I am a Walk-On so nothing is given to me. I have to go out there and earn my spot on the team.
