LAFM: Name, position, school?

My name is Craig Ford, and I am the K/P for Hahnville High School.

LAFM: Current weight and height?

6-3, 165 lbs

LAFM: Current ACT score and GPA?

19 ACT, 2.75 GPA

LAFM: 40-yard dash, average kick off, longest field gola this year?

I run a 4.7 40-yard dash. I think my kick offs average about 64 yards, and I usually get them into the endzone. My longest field goal this year was 50 yards.

LAFM: How did the season go for you and the team?

It was pretty good. I would have liked to go past the 2nd round of the playoffs, but overall happy with the season.

LAFM: What has been your best game this season?

My best game was probably against Thibodaux High School. I went perfect on my PATs as well as made 2 field goals. The last one was a 27 yard game winner. I also played well against Rummel. I made a 50 yard field goal, and pinned Rummel inside the 10 yard line 3 times.

LAFM: Who is your favorite football player of all time?

As a kicker, I really like Justin Tucker. He had an incredible year this past season. I also admire Drew Brees. He is going to be an all-time great QB.

LAFM: How old were you when you started playing and where?

It was actually my freshman year when I decided to become a kicker. I was a soccer player with a good leg, so I decided to try out for Kicker.

LAFM: Do you have any family members or friends that have had a big influence on you as you play football?

I would not be anywhere without my dad. He never let me give up on anything especially football or soccer. If it was not for him, I probably would not be where I am today.

LAFM: If football does not work out for you, what do you see yourself doing? Have you thought of a major in college?

As of right now, I am considering Construction Managment. At first I actually looked into architectural graphing. None of the schools I looked at had that as a major, but Construction Management is something that is similar.

LAFM: Are there any schools that are recruiting you?

I have a couple schools like ULM, McNeese, Northwestern and New Mexico. I am leaning toward ULM, but nothing is certain.

LAFM: What positions are you being recruited for? What is your favorite positions and why?

I am being recruited as both Kicker and Punter. If I had to choose one I would choose kicker. I like the pressure.

LAFM: What was something special about your team this year?

We had an extremely good defense. They held our opponents in check all year.

LAFM: Outside of football, what makes your school or town special?

I just think it is the people around here. Everyone is extremely hospitable and have great personality. At the school, all of the teachers and students are nice good people.
