LAFM: How is the season going thus far?

Adam Ziepke
Adam Ziepke #77

When we first started out this season, people didn’t take practices too seriously. We did what we needed to, but there was a lot of playing around and we started losing games. After that, people started understanding they needed to change in order to win. Our second to last game was against Ellender, and we kicked it up a whole lot and won.

LAFM: Who did you look forward to playing this year and why?

Ellender because it was actually the first year I got to play against them. Also, we are the biggerst rivals in Terrebonne Parish. Since they became a high school, they pull kids from the same pool of students that would be coming to South Terrebonne.

LAFM: Current height and weight?

6”3’ and 294

LAFM: Do you consider yourself a quick guy or a fast guy?

I’m more of a quick guy because I can get out on the field and get a block.

LAFM: 40-yard dash time?

LAFM: Who is your football idol and why?

My head coach because I am like him in a lot of ways. He was always very big and strong when he was younger, and he got offered scholarships to go anywhere in the SEC to play football. Instead, he chose to go to Nichols get a teaching degree and become a coach because that’s what he loved.

LAFM: How old were you when you started playing and where?

I started playing when I was 12 years old at my middle school.

LAFM: Top 3 favorite colleges and why?

LA Tech, McNeese and North Texas because those three schools are recruiting me.

LAFM: Did you go to any camps this summer? Which ones and how were they?

I wasn’t able to go to any because I had to have surgery on my knee in June. During our game against Assumption last year, a guy was thrown directly into my knee and I tore my lateral meniscus. But I am fully recovered and ready to go now.

LAFM: If football doesn’t work out, what do you see yourself doing? Have you thought of a major?

I want to major in kinesiology. I want to become a strength and conditioning coach in the NFL one day.

LAFM: What positions are you being recruited for? Which is your favorite position?

I am being recruited for offensive line. My favorite position depends on what plays we run as a team- if we run a Wing-T, I like to play guard, but other than that, I really like playing tackle.

LAFM: Current GPA and ACT score?

My GPA is a 2.7, and I have a 22 ACT score.
