LAFM: How did this season go for you and your team?
|Michael Mims #15|
The season went great for our team, we were not able to accomplish our main goal, a state championship, but we did some great things as a team this year and gave it all we had. We grew as a team and got better every week.
LAFM: What was your best game this season, and why?
My best game was against Barbe High School. With the help of my teammates I was able to run for 285 yards on 25 carries and 5 touchdowns.
LAFM: Current height and weight?
My height is 5’11” and my weight is 195 pounds.
LAFM: 40-yard dash time?
LAFM: Who is your football idol and why?
My football ideal is Tim Tebow because he plays with a great intensity, and is a very physical player. He makes the people around him better, and is always a leader on and off the field.
LAFM: How old were you when you started playing?
My first year of football was during the 2nd grade. I was 8 years old.
LAFM: Did anybody in your family play either college or pro ball? If they did, what position and where?
My grandfather, Crawford Mims, was a consensus All-American at Ole Miss in 1953. He played offensive guard and nose tackle. My dad, Paul Mims, played Quarterback at Southern miss in the early 80’s.
LAFM: If football doesn’t work out, what do you see yourself doing? Have you thought of a major?
If football doesn’t work out for me I see myself attending college to become a Physical Therapist or an Orthopedic Surgeon
LAFM: What positions are you being recruited for? Which is your favorite position, why?
I am getting recruited as a QB for certain schools and as an Athlete from other schools. My favorite position would have to be QB because you touch the ball every play, and you are also the leader on the field.
LAFM: What schools are recruiting you, and do you have any favorites yet?
I’m being recruited by Louisiana Tech, Air Force, Navy, Harding, and Missouri Southern.
LAFM: Current GPA and ACT score?
My current GPA is a 4.0 and my act score is a 23.
