LAFM: How has the season gone for your team thus far?

Sherman Badie
Sherman Badie

Its going really well. We are headed into the first round of the playoffs, so we are just getting prepared for that.

LAFM: Current height and weight?

5’11’’ 197 pounds

LAFM: Do you consider yourself a quick guy or a fast guy?

I would consider myself both. I can move really quickly in the backfield to find a hole, and once I find it, I can hit it hard and with speed.

LAFM: 40-yard dash time?

4.3 seconds

LAFM: Who is your football idol and why?

My NFL football idol is Chris Johnson. When he gets the ball he just makes plays. Whether its shaking someone along the sideline, or just hitting a running it seem up the middle, he makes plays.

LAFM: How old were you when you started playing and where?

I started playing ball when I was six years old, at Johnny Bright Playground. Then I moved up to JPRD, and eventually to Curtis.

LAFM: Top 3 favorite colleges and why?

I’ve liked LSU ever since I was little. I also like Ole Miss, because they run the ball a lot, and also throw to their running backs a lot. Miami would have to be my other choice. Every time I watch them play they pound the ball constantly, and have so many ways to get the ball to their running backs.

LAFM: Did you go to any camps this summer? Which ones and how were they?

I went to Tulane, North Texas, LSU, and ULL. I really enjoyed them all, but I liked LSU’s camp a lot because that’s where I ran my fastest forty-yard dash time.

LAFM: If football doesn’t work out, what do you see yourself doing? Have you thought of a major?

I would like to be a physical therapist or a trainer, and I would probably major in kinesiology.

LAFM: What positions are you being recruited for? Which is your favorite position?

I’m being recruited to play Running Back, which is my favorite position.

LAFM: Current GPA and ACT score?

3.8 GPA and a 17 on the ACT
