LAFM: Name, position, school?

My name is De’Eldrick Taylor and I am a SS and a Punt Returner at Pineville High School.

LAFM: Current weight and height?

5-10,  187 lbs

LAFM: Current ACT score and GPA?

2.9 GPA

4.45 40/yard,  My max is 345 bench, 295 clean, and 405 squat.

LAFM: How is the season going for you and your team?

Everything is going as planned. We are now 5-1. Our team is becoming a very good team. We are starting to figure out each other and do things right.

LAFM: What has been your best game so far this season?

My best game was probably against Leesville High School.  I had 2 interceptions and a safety on defense. I also had 4 punt returns for 138 yards.

LAFM: Who is your favorite football player of all time?

Tyran Matheiu- the way he can make plays is amazing. He is very clutch and makes plays when the team need him the most which I try to emulate.

LAFM: How old were you when you started playing and where?

I was 10 years old and played Alexandria little league triple A.

LAFM: Do you have any family members or friends that have had a big influence on you as you play football?

My grandpa has been a big influence. He had a chance to be a big time player, but he tore his ACL. Now he wants me to succeed and become a big time player.

LAFM: If football does not work out for you, what do you see yourself doing? Have you thought of a major in college?

I would like to become an athletic trainer, so I can stay around the sport. If I cannot play,  I want to always be around football.

LAFM: What positions are you  being recruited for? What is your favorite positions and why?

I am being recruited as a CB, and a Punt Returner. My favorite position is Safety. As a safety you have to be physical, come up and make plays. You have to be able to read the offense really well.

LFM: what makes your school special?

The support from other students, teachers, and principle makes Pineville special. They are behind us not only in football, but in academics as well. I want to mention our coaches and Head Coach Robbie martin as well. They are always able to push and get the best out of us. It is like we cannot lose with these coaches.
