Southern Lab LB/FB Larry Butler III going back to Cali

Larry Butler
Larry Butler, III

February 24, 2010 – Larry Butler, a stud LB and FB from Southern Lab, who had offers from New Mexico and Houston (both really good DIV 1 schools), will start his college career off at California Junior College Citrus College. Larry had 62 tackles, 1 sack, 4 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, and 1 interception return for a Touchdown his senior year for Southern Lab HS, a school right on campus of Southern University College. Larry and his family lived in Sacramento, CA, where he played HS ball 2 years ago so he will be going back to a place he’s familiar with. Citrus Junior College is located in Glendora, CA. Larry has really big goals to get his grades in order, and play big time Div 1 football one day, and then go to the NFL. Larry to me has a lot of potential. He runs a true 4.69/40 at 230 pounds, at 6 feet tall. I can see this kid coming out in two years weighing 240 pounds, and still running a 4.6 forty or better. Larry would make a great MLB in two years, and I think will be recruited even more in two years, than he was in High School.

Terence White
Terrence White

Larry’s best friend and teammate RB Terrance White 6-0, 195 pounds also will be attending Citrus Junior College. Terrance has great upside as well. White started his high school career at Central HS, and went from 175 to almost his current 200 pound frame. Terrance runs in the 4.5 range, and I thought was one of the big time sleeper RB’s in the state of Louisiana this past season. Remember these kids names in two years for the recruiting 2012 season. Terrance and Larry are both set to enroll in college in June of this year.
