LAFM's Week 9 Recruiting Scoop and Tidbits

It is hard to believe that there is only one more week until the end of the regular season. There will be a lot on the line next week in terms of playoff seeding as well as district championships so the craziness that is high school football is only beginning so is the recruiting going on around the state of Louisiana. Louisiana Football Magazine's own Jace LeJeune and Cameron Cerniglia were able to catch up with a couple of teams this week in order to find out what is going on in recruiting with their perspective teams after Week 9 of prep play.

 

Breaux Bridge High School: (Cameron Cerniglia)

Breaux Bridge High School junior wide receiver Dartravien Girod (5-11, 175) has received an offer from ULL.

In speaking of ULL, the Ragin' Cajuns' recruiting coordinator Tim Leger was at Breaux Bridge High School to check out Girod and the Tigers play.

 

East St. John High School: (Jace LeJeune)

East St. John senior TE Hoxie Brown III (Property of LAFM)

East St. John High School senior safety Jarius Monroe (6-1, 195) has been offered by McNeese State, Ball State, Western Kentucky, the University of Arkansas Pine-Bluff, Southeastern, Northwestern State, Southern, and Grambling.

His other teammates senior TE Hoxie Brown III (6-3, 235) has been offered by McNeese State, Tennessee State, Prairie View A&M, Southeastern, and Nicholls State.

Junior offensive guard/defensive tackle Jakobi Anderson (6-5, 330) is starting to gain not only interests from in-state schools, but also DI teams such as Texas State, Kentucky, Tulane, Arkansas, and even LSU.

Junior CB Howard Joseph (5-10, 170) is another talented playmaker in the secondary for the Wildcats. Joseph has received his first offer earlier in January from the University of Idaho and is now waiting for more offers to come his way.

 

 

 

Opelousas High School: (Cameron Cerniglia)

Opelousas High School senior WR/CB Kenny Frazier (Property of LAFM)

Opelousas High School senior WR/CB Kenny Frazier (5-10, 155) has received offers from Cornell, Morehead State, and Arkansas Monticello, but he has also been contacted by Nicholls State, Oklahoma State, Southern, Grambling, Houston, and Kansas State.

Nicholls State and Louisiana have shown interest in senior offensive guard Adrian Burns (6-1, 270).

Louisiana has also shown interest in senior CB Christian Joubert (6-0, 155).
