LAFM: Name, position, school?

My name is Larry Grimm, and I play MLB for Franklin High School.

LAFM: Current height and weight?

6-3,  198 lbs

LAFM: Current ACT score and GPA?

21 ACT 3.1 GPA

LAFM: 40-yard dash, and max bench, max squat, max clean?

I run a 4.7 40-yard dash. My max bench is 225, squat 415, and clean is 205.

LAFM: How did the season go for you and the team?

It went very well. We went to the playoffs which has not happened in 10 years. I personally made First Team All-District Defense.

LAFM: What has been your best game this season?

You know I played pretty consistently throughout the season. I had over 100 tackles and led in tackling in many games. I forced and recovered some fumbles as well.

LAFM: Who is your favorite football player of all time?

Everybody knows my favorite player is Ray Lewis. He struggled and, similar to me, everybody told him he was too small or too slow, and he was not going to make it. Also like me, because he loves his momma.

LAFM: How old were you when you started playing and where?

I started playing flag football in my hometown when I was about 5 or 6.

LAFM: Do you have any family members or friends that have had a big influence on you as you play football?

I have had several cousins go play college ball. One of them, Lavar Edwards, got drafted by the Titans. My mom and uncle both played basketball which was not for me. I am too rough for basketball, but you could say I got my competitiveness from them.

LAFM: If football does not work out for you, what do you see yourself doing? Have you thought of a major in college? Why?

I want to major in Forensic Chemistry. It involves science, math, medicine, and is a degree that will always have available jobs.

LAFM: Are there any schools that are recruiting you? What do you like about them?

I am being recruited by in-state schools such as Southern, Southeastern, ULL, and ULM. Their is also a couple of JUCO and Community Colleges that are interested in me. Southern is one of my favorites.

LAFM: What positions are you being recruited for? What is your favorite positions and why?

I will probably be a DE in College, it depends on where I go. My main position throughout high school was MLB, but I did play some DE as well.

LAFM Do you track? what do you run?

I run the 800, the 400, the 4 x 400 relay, and I may run the 4 x 200 as well.

LAFM: What made this years team special?

Our Head Coach J Ina took over my freshman year and we went 1-9. The following year we went 4-6, and then 5-5 my junior year. My senior year we go 7-3 and make the playoffs. Coach did a great job building our program and making us a better team.
