LAFM: Name, position, school?

My name is Frederick Brown, and I played DE for Richwood High School. I am now committed to Arkansas Baptist College.

LAFM: Current height and weight?

6-2,  230

LAFM: Any notable statistics from your senior season?

I had 14 sacks and 91 tackles.

LAFM: Favorite football player of all time? Why?

Drew Brees- He worked hard and overcame his injury. Everybody was down on him being short, and he overcame that as well.

LAFM: How did Richwood prepare you for playing football at the next level?

Richwood trained me to get to the next level. They got me prepared for college footballl in every phase of the game. They also gave me good exposure as a recruit. I really appreciate everything they did for me.

LAFM: What did you enjoy the most about your recruitment process?

It is a lot of work honestly. I did enjoy going to different schools and going to different places.

LAFM: What other schools were looking at you?

Southern and ULM were two schools that were interested in me.

LAFM: Why did you choose Arkansas Baptist?

I really wanted to play right away where ever I went. Coach said I was going to have a shot to play early and get a lot of playing time. I liked Arkansas and the school. There are many Louisiana players up their. Many of the the players go on to sign DI.

LAFM: Who are some people that stand out as major factors in choosing Arkansas Baptist?

My Head Coach Robert Arvie, my mom, and my teammates all were major factors. Coach Arvie got me in the right position. He got me talking to the right coaches and let people know who I was.  Tyshawn Frazier is one of my best friends and teammates. He is going to Arkansas Baptist with me. We are more like brothers and have been playing with each other for the past 6 years. We always said we wanted to go to the same college. My mother has always supported me.  She wanted me to be the first guy in my whole family to go to college. Fortunately I will be.

LAFM: What kind of player is Arkansas Baptist getting in yourself?

I am quick off the line. I am a great pass rusher. I have great pursuit and never give up on plays.

LAFM: What is one thing you think that you need to improve upon going to the next level?

I need to gain a little more weight. I need it for the next level.

LAFM: What are you most excited about going into next year and playing football for Arkansas Baptist?

I am most excited about being able to put on some pads again and do what I love to do. I love playing football.

LAFM: What advice can you give the 2015 class on their recruitment process?

Go for whatever you like and whatever your goals are. I wanted a full ride to college along with a chance at immediate playing time. I got both.
