LAFM: Name, position, school?

My name is Lenard Calloway, and I played RB/CB for Covenant Christian Academy.

LAFM: Current height and weight?

5-9,   180 lbs

LAFM: Current ACT score and GPA?

3.3 GPA,  17 ACT

LAFM: 40-yard dash, max bench, and max squat?

The last time I ran the 40-yard dash was in the summer, and I ran a 4.5. My max squat is about 415 and my max bench is about 280.

LAFM: How did the season go for you and the team?

It went well. Everyone was united. We made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs. We played some tough competition throughout the season and into the playoffs. I was happy to make it to the 2nd round.

LAFM: What has been your best or favorite game this season?

I would say the first round of the playoffs against Madison Prep. We won and many people doubted us going into the game. I finished with 182 yards and 2 TDs.

LAFM: Who is your favorite football player of all time?

I would have to say Patrick Peterson. He is one of the best CBs in the country. I always watch his highlights. He is an inspiration to me on the defensive side of the ball.

LAFM: How old were you when you started playing and where?

I was 7 years old when I started to play at a Rec league in Terrebonne

LAFM: Do you have any family members or friends that have had a big influence on you as you play football?

My dad and Coach K. My dad has always been their for me. He pushes me to better myself not just in football but also as a person. Coach K and Coach Boquet always got and expected the best out of me. They let me know how I was playing and how  I could improve.

LAFM: If football does not work out for you, what do you see yourself doing? Have you thought of a major in college? Why?

I plan on majoring in architecture with a minor in business. My dad builds houses, and I think it is pretty cool what he does.

LAFM: Are there any schools that are recruiting you? What do you like about them?

Mississippi College, Nichols, Louisiana College, ULL, and LA Tech are all schools interested in me. The main college I would really like to go to is ULL. They have not offered as of yet but are looking at me. Whenever I went on a visit I really liked their football program and the school itself. They have one of the top business schools in the state.

LAFM: What positions are you being recruited for? What is your favorite positions and why?

I am being recruited as a RB and CB. I will play whatever position I am needed at the most. If I had to choose I would go with RB. I have been an offensive guy since I was 7.

LAFM: What do you bring to whichever school you choose to go play for?

I always have a positive attitude whether it is on the field or in the weight room. I am a great competitor and hard worker. Whatever my team has me do I do it in full force.

LAFM: Looking back at this past year, what made this years team special?

Our underclassmen stepped up a lot this year. We had some injuries and they stepped in and did a great job.
