By Reid Althage

LAFM: Name, position, school?

My name is Peyton Winbush, and I played OL for St. Augustine High School.

LAFM: Current height and weight?

6-3, 270 lbs

LAFM: Max bench, max squat, and any other notable statistics this past season?

Well my max bench is 370, and I am not sure on my squat max. I, personally, did not give up one sack this entire year.

LAFM: How did the season go for you and the team? What was something that stands out that made this team special?

It ended badly with us losing in the third round of the playoffs, but it was a good season. I really enjoyed being a senior and having the opportunity to play with a great group of guys. I got to play with Leonard Fournette the number one recruit in the nation. Playing against John Curtis on ESPN was definitely something special.

LAFM: What has been your best game this season?

I want to say the John Curtis game. I thought I did a great job opening running lanes, and we had good success on the ground. I was able to win my one on one battle and beat my opponent.

LAFM: Who is your favorite football player of all time?

Mike Pouncey the OL for the Dolphins. He carries himself in the right way and has a great attitude on the field. He is a player I try to model myself after.

LAFM: How old were you when you started playing and where?

I was 11 when I started to play at Bondenger Playground.

LAFM: Do you have any family members or friends that have had a big influence on you as you play football?

My father Byron Winbush. He was the one to really push me and better myself on the field

LAFM: If football does not work out for you, what do you see yourself doing? Have you thought of a major in college? Why?

I am going to major in engineering. If football does not work out, I want to become an engineer.

LAFM: Are there any schools that are recruiting you? What do you like about them?

I committed to Southeastern this past Saturday. The school is close to home, and I felt comfortable with the team and coaches. I feel like I can make an impact on the team as well.

LAFM: What position(s) are you being recruited for? What is your favorite position?

Basically we are going to see when I get their. I can play anywhere on the OL. I am going to play where ever they need me the most.

LAFM: What kind of player is Southeastern getting in yourself?

I bring a good attitude. I am going to go 100 percent all the time. I know that I will be able to create space and open holes for our RBs. I can give my QB protection and time to throw.
