LAFM: Name, position, school?

St. Martinville H. S. , St. Martinville football

My name is  Lawrence Courville, and I played football for St. Martinville High School. I am uncommitted as of now. 

 

LAFM: Current height and weight?

 6-3,  260

 

LAFM: Current ACT score and GPA?

 ACT 22  GPA 3.0

 

LAFM: Max bench, and max squat, accolades?

 My max bench is 315. My squat is 485. I made All-District my Junior year and went to the East vs West game this past year.

 

LAFM: Do you have schools looking at you right now? Anybody offered you?

Louisiana College has offered me. A few schools other schools have come and talked to me. I would love to go to ULL.

 

LAFM: What are you looking for in whatever university you choose?

As of right now I am just going through my options. I just want to have an education to follow me after I am done with football. That is am important factor.

 

LAFM: What do you bring to whichever school you choose to go play for?

I am a good leader. I am an athlete. I never give up and always work hard. Lastly, I try to help my teammates as much as I can.

 

LAFM: Which attribute do you need to work on and improve to prepare for college football?

I would say my quickness. I definitely need to get a little faster.

 

LAFM: What positions are you being recruited for? 

I played both Defensive and Offensive Line for High School. I enjoy going both ways and would be willing to play wherever they put me.

 

LAFM: What was your favorite game in your  high school career? 

We beat Lutcher my Junior year in the first round of the playoffs. We were the 31 seed and they were number 2 seed. It was a great win, and nobody gave us a chance.

 

LAFM: Who is your favorite football player of all time?

Ray Lewis. I just like the way he plays. He plays with all he has every game. He is a great leader on and off the field as well.

 

 LAFM: How did St. Martinville High School and the football program prepare you for college?

 They did a great job training us as football players and students. They taught us discipline on the field and off. We learned to give it all we got and always go 100 percent.

About Reid Althage

Reid is from Harvey, LA and went to Brother Martin High School. He played men's NAIA soccer at LSU Shreveport for his first 2 years college. His junior year, Reid transferred to Baton Rouge and graduated from LSU with a Sports Administration Degree. He started with LAFM as an Intern in April 2013 and was hired in October. Reid loves anything to do with sports (Saints, Pelicans, and Liverpool FC Fan), the outdoors, and family/friends.
