“We only graduated seven kids from the 2022 team as we were a young team,” Minden head coach Spencer Heard said. “We are more mature in 2023 as a team and experience overall. We had a great off season, one of the best since I’ve been here. We also have experience coming back on the offensive line.”
The offense will build around a very young talented quarterback to take over the Offense in Hudson Brown. Hudson has the size and arm to become a great one in the end. The team also returns a great athlete in senior RB/FS JaKobe Jackson with 4.45 speed. Jackson can also play some wildcat QB for the team at times when he’s not playing running back for the team. There’s also talented senior WR Cameron Mitchell (5-10, 180, 4.5 speed) who has great hands and is a big-time playmaker. The run game also includes RB Dunovan Robinson (5-10, 220) and RB/OLB Jaylon McKinney (4.6 speed). Whenever the Crimson Tide decide to throw the rock, they have TE Kameron Harris (6-2, 210) and WR Maurice Rabb (6-2, 170) who both can make all the big plays to give this team a chance to score a lot of points in 2023.

The offensive line gives this team that chance to run or throw because of its experience and size. The O-Line is led by team leader Jonathan Bradford (6-4, 280). Bradford can bench press 385 pounds. Bradford also benched 225 pounds on 24 reps in the weight room. The line also includes OG Denarius Crow (5-7, 225), center Garrett Dooley (6-0, 255), OG James Williams (5-11, 255), OT Jackson Spear (6-5, 255) and OT/OG Jeremiah Jones (6-4, 275).
The defense will have speed and experience back in a tough district full of great Offenses. The Crimson Tide will have one of the better defensive backfields in the district led by CB Brennan Benton (6-1, 170, 4.45 speed), CB Brian Turner (5-10, 170), senior SS Keithric Kimbel (5-11, 180) and two-way starter JaKobe Jackson. The rest of the defense has some talent too in senior MLB Nolan Garms (6-1, 230), DT/DE Demetrius Robinson (6-2, 275, squats 600), LB Omarion Corley (5-11, 215, 4.7 speed), DT Saige Bailes (6-2, 265), DT Isaybion Emmerson (5-11, 280), OLB Brayden Britton (6-2, 185, 4.65 speed) and DE Jarvis Davis (6-2, 255).

The special teams return a pretty good kicker/punter in second-year starter Bryson Ranger (5-8, 160).
Minden’s football team had some very talented players sign with s from the 2022 team in RB Daylen Robinson (Centenary), WR Jaylin Williams (Butler Kansas Junior ) and DT Makhi Reed (Lamar University).
