“We are in one of the toughest districts in the state of Louisiana in District 1 of Class 1A," Arcadia head coach Dimitri Carr said. "In 2022, four teams in our district made it to the quarterfinals in the playoffs. We need to develop depth on both the offensive & defensive lines in 2023.”
The program will need another big year out of three-year starter QB Rodtavious Jackson (5-11, 178) who has a cannon arm with 4.6 speed in the forty and looks faster on the field. A few leaders come back to lead this team they are OG/DT Dimitri Carr II (5-11, 249) who is a fifth-year starter and Coach Carr’s son, DE/OT Joseph Salvaterra (6-2, 210) who is a four-year starter who is a smart, tough kid, RB/FB Ian Fitzgerald (5-5, 160) ran for over 1,000 yards in 2022 quick and playmaker, TE/DE Tyreun Fields (6-4, 235, Sr.) a 4 year starter really good blocker & hands, WR/DB Ratravieous Crawley (6-3, 200, Sr.) with 4.65 speed had a great year in 2022, CB/WR Omareion Carr (6-3, 180, 4.49 speed), OLB/RB Tekiyrian Abney (6-0, 210) who has all the tools and second-year starter OL/DT Amarion Richardson (6-1, 255). Some younger players doing a good job this year are CB/WR Braylon Roberson (5-7, 155), CB/WR Darrell Sneed Jr (5-9, 145), MLB Jordan Hartwell (6-0, 195), OLB Tayshawn Johnson and RB Bratrevauntae Ferrell.

Coach Carr played football at Grambling for both then-head coach and Super Bowl XXII MVP Doug Williams and Melvin Spears.Coach Carr also had some pretty talented teammates at Grambling: former NFL DE Jason Hatcher and All-SWAC QB Bruce Eugene. Coach told me Eugene was the first no-look passer before Patrick Mahomes.
