Crowley High School Defensive Tackle Ricky Webb, Class of 2025

Every year, college coaches I speak with complain about how difficult it is to find legitimate defensive tackles who stand 6’1” to 6’6”, weigh 290 to 340 pounds, and have quick feet paired with high effort. The kid we’re talking about today checks all those boxes and more.

Louisiana has a big-time DI prospect in Defensive Tackle Ricky Webb, a Class of 2025 senior from Crowley High School. Ricky stands at a legit 6’2½”, weighs 310 pounds, and moves like a linebacker with exceptional footwork. I know this from watching him play in both 2024 and 2022. This kid has national recruiting potential and is currently a hidden gem in Crowley, Louisiana.

Once Ricky spends a year at junior college—he’s currently leaning toward Butler Community College in Kansas—every college in America will be offering him a chance to start in DI football.

“It’s really scary what Ricky can become with another year in a college weight room,” said Head Coach Eric Cooley of Crowley High School.

“Playing for the Crowley High School football coaches this year has been an incredible experience. Coach Cooley’s dedication and support have helped me grow both as an athlete and as a person,” said Ricky Webb. “I haven’t fully decided where I want to go for college, but I’m seriously considering Kansas Junior College (Butler) as a top option because I believe it offers the best opportunity for me to develop my skills and gain exposure. My goal is to play for a top 25 program in college football after I leave junior college.”
