Belle Chasse High School head coach Stephen Myers has quietly done an incredible job with the Belle Chasse program in all 10 years. Nobody wants to play in this program because of the respect the coaches have for their toughness, talent and discipline and it’s always a tough game for other non-district teams..
“We have a young team as 15 of our starters from last season graduated,” Coach Meyers said. “We do return our running back who had over 1,800 yards rushing in 2022. The coaches expect the team to mature quickly and improve each week of the season.”
Everything will center around the run game. The team has different players who can run the ball to make this team hard to defend in High School every year. Four-year starting RB Jaedon Voisin (6-3, 250, 4.7 speed) returns after rushing for 1,800 yards in 2022. This kid also starts on defense at linebacker and he is one of the top linebackers in the state in my opinion. You also have RB Kaleb Wallace (5-7, 165, 4.5 speed) and RB Dillan Carter (5-10, 180) who is another talented young back. At the quarterback spot, starting QB Amari Ambrose (5-9, 170) has a good arm and is a great runner. Backup QB Julian Leblanc (6-0, 195) also a starting LB for the team brings power at both spots. The wide receiver spot has Nico Relle (5-8, 170, Sr.) quick in space, WR/DB Jacob Black (5-11, 180, 4.5 speed, 4.5 speed) and younger players getting in for reps in the fall. The offensive line has two-way starter Center/DT Sterling Barthelemy (6-1, 270, Sr.), talented OT/NG Savion Barthelemy (6-3, 280) and younger players battling for spots in the fall. The offense also has two-way starter FB/LB Aedan Westbrook (5-9, 230, 4.6 speed) who is a great blocker.
For the defense, we mentioned some of the starters up top but others are LB Cedric Harris 5-11 200 SR leader, DE/TE Cameron Munford (5-10, 255), DB Leon Jackson (5-11, 175, 4.6 speed, Sr.) and DB Trace Adams (5-9, 165).
On special teams, you have the talented D1 leg of Trey Furey (6-0, 185, Sr.). This kid can kick it in the end zone on kickoffs and has a leg for over 50 yards.
