Breaux Bridge High School will be led by one of the brightest coaching minds in the state of Louisiana in head coach Zach Lochard who led the Tigers to the quarterfinals last season.

“I’m super excited for year two," Coach Lochard said. "The growth in every area is extremely exciting and we will continue to grow this year. We are a stronger team this year and a different team. The kids have learned systems on both sides of the football. The school is excited, I am excited and the kids are excited this year. Everyone is pumped to play some football in 2023."

The program player who makes all this happen returns in All-District QB Kelby Hypolite (5-10 180) ran for 1,369 yards with 13 touchdowns and passed for 1,122 yards with nine passing touchdowns. This kid also will play some RB/WR/DB for the team at times when not at QB He is special and means so much to this Tiger program.

The Offense also returns All District WR Coddie Noel (5-10, 180) had 25 catches for 432 yards with six touchdowns in 2022. Noel also averaged 17.28 yards per catch in 2022. Noel is also an excellent cornerback as he had 54 tackles, two interceptions, 13 passes broken up and three QB hurries in 2022. Noel is also a big-time special player in this program's recent stability. The rest of the offense you have WR Jayden Chevalier (6-0, 170), FB Sage Chevalier (6-3, 180), WR Jaden Broussard (5-11, 145), TE Ethan Comb (6-3, 180), RB Christian Matthews (5-8, 168), OT Ethan Pitre (6-0, 235), Center Kale Boudreaux (5-10, 245), OG Guy Williams (5-11, 285), OG Reece Poirier (6-0, 260), OT Ashton Joseph (6-5, 220) and younger players providing depth.

The defense also has a big-time leader in LB Landon Roberts (5-8, 200) who was All-District in 2022 as he had 62 tackles and three fumble recoveries in 2022. Roberts can also run the ball on offense and run for two touchdowns in 2022, SS Jakylon Thomas 6-0 155, FS Javaughn Nicholas (6-3, 165), LB D’mari Robertson (5-10, 240), DE Kaleb Theriot (5-11, 185), LB Baylon Champagne (5-10, 198), DE Logan Roberts 6-1 215, DT Braxton Simon (6-4 230) and DT Christian Joseph who is a very talented player in the middle of the Defense.

The special teams have back All-District player Thinh Hoo with a big-time leg. This kid will handle both kicking and punting duties for the team. Coddie Noel is one of the best in Louisiana in the return game. Noel in 2022 had six punt returns for 120 yards (20 yards average per return). Noel has legit 4.5 speed and playmaking ability which will make him even more excited to see his senior year now he's got this done with experience the year before.

Coach Lochard graduated from Longmont High School in the great state of Colorado which is located right outside the city of Boulder where the University of Colorado’s campus is located. Coach Lochard went to at Adams State University (Colorado).
