“We need to have expectations, with our players and coaches, to have them grow every year as this program needs consistency,” first year Central Private head coach Seth Holden said. “We will run a Wing-T Offense in 2023. The program graduated 12 players from the 2022 season.”

The program will lean on a few players for leadership as the program grows with a new coach and staff and a new school. QB/CB Seth Hatfield (6-0, 165) is the new starting quarterback and also will see time at corner. Hatfield has a great future. There will be several running backs the team will rely on to score points in 2023 with senior RB/SS Hunter Pourciau (5-11, 165), RB/FB/DB Aiden Pomnerleau (5-10, 175), and RB/FB/DE Jacob Weaver (6-0, 200) who brings power and toughness to both sides of the football. There’s also another player in senior RB/WB Wyatt Johnson (5-10, 155). The rest of the offense will also consist of senior TE Grant Austin (6-0, 195) and senior WR/DB Luke Browning (5-10, 160). All of the lineman in the program will start on both sides for the team, led by senior OL/DL Dawson Glover (5-10, 250), senior OL/DL Stephen Lambert (6-1, 225) and senior OL/DL Braiden Morgan (5-11, 220).

The special teams will have an opening going into fall practice among several players for the punting & kicking job.

Coach Holden is a graduate of Franklinton High School (Class of 2005) where he played for then-head coach Shane Smith and was a teammate of former Franklinton players Curtis Taylor, Brandon Taylor and Jhyren Taylor. He was at Oak Forest High School in 2022 as the teams offensive line coach & run game coordinator. Coach Holden was a center on the offensive line for Franklinton High School in his playing days. Central Private has a new school which also means there will be new athletic facilities being built in the near future.
