The Elton program won its first football game since the 2018 season when the Indians defeated Pickering HS in its first game of the 2022 season. That win led to greater success for the program as it catapulted them to a 5-4 regular season record and a trip to the playoffs.
“I thought we had a great spring,” Elton head coach Marcus LeJeune said. “We lost a few seniors from last year’s team, but some younger guys return and they have experience from last year. We got some taste of success from the young guys. We will have close to 30 players in the fall.”

The offense will have at least three players with the ability to be the QB and get snaps. You have senior Anthony Gaspard (5-10, 180) who was voted to the All-District Second Team in 2022 and is a three-year starter. Gaspard is also a linebacker & tight end for the team. There’s also Davin Simon, who lettered as an 8th grader in 2022 and Jaylin Thomas who also can play at three different positions besides quarterback (WR/TE/DE) for the team. For the skill positions, you have DB Derek Ross who is a young talented athlete, senior WR/DB Treylen Ceaser (6-1, 170) who is a three-year starter, senior DB Sebastian Mendoza (5-8, 155), senior RB/SS Tristan Leblanc (5-8, 170, 4.6 speed) who was second-team All-District in 2022, WR/DB Bryce Robinson, SS/RB Makeilin Lemoine (4.6 speed) and FB D.D Actliss.
The key lineman back is three-year starters OT/DE Maverick Manuel and senior OL/DT Jamarques Gross (6-0, 285).
