Head Coach John Kavanaugh did wonders at North Caddo High School around Shreveport taking that program to new heights and I think will do the same in time at Fontainbleau High School.Coach Kavanaugh was Head Coach North Caddo from 2018 to 2022. The Bulldogs program has over 100 kids currently for football.
The Bulldogs have a record of 3-1 on the young season. The team already has more wins in week 3 of this season than all of last year and the year before.
The Offense returns starting QB Ian Burelson (5-8, 170, Sr.). The offensive line returns some quality experience in OT Fletcher Van Haelen (6-3, 330, Sr.) who is a three-year starter leader, OG Blake Gisevius (6-0, 235, Sr.) and center Jake Cartagines (6-0, 230, Sr.) who is a second-year starter.
The run game has talented Jaden Echols back, who ran for over 1,000 yards in 2022, has the all around game to go to 1,200 yards or more in 2023. RB Jackson Anglin (5-9, 178) is also a very strong runner with power.
At wide receiver, you have Jacob Schiem (6-1, 185, Sr.), Sebastian Miller (5-9, 155), Jesse Mull (5-8, 165, Sr.) who is one of the team captains.
The Defense has some leaders too in three-year starter LB/SS Trent Gagnon (6-2, 198, Sr.), DT Dylan Rucker (5-7, 185) has had 3.5 sacks this season, CB Jaden Duncan (5-8, 160), CB Semaj Whittine (6-2, 175) who has one interception already in 2023), LB William Green (5-10, 180, Sr.) averaging 9 tackles a game in 2023, second-year starter LB Dominick Silvan-Owens (6-0, 190), FS Chris Martin (5-6, 150, Sr.) who is a tough smart player, new starter DE Jared Williams (6-0, 210, Sr.) and DE Ian Garber (6-1, 215).
Special Teams has new starters and both kids are having a great 2023 season. The kicker is Micah Nagy and the punter Drake Dichiara who is averaging 33.17 yards per punt in 2023
