Not many coaches at a small enrollment public school in the state have had the success of General Trass and the staff and coaching of Toriano Wells in Class 2A. Coach Wells led his team to an 11-1 record and a semifinal appearance in 2021, which is the farthest the school has gone in the playoffs. In 2022, the program went to the second round of the playoffs. Hats off to the coach and his staff job well done.
“I am seeing a lot of young guys becoming leaders for this team. We will start a bunch of players on both sides of the ball again in 2023. I like the growth and leadership we still have in the program moving forward. We should dress about 40 to 45 kids in the fall.
