“We played a lot of young kids FR/SO in 2022. I think that will help us grow as a team with a lot of upside. Look for much improvement.”

The Braves had three quarterbacks rotating in for the position in the Spring & Summer Conner Wallace, QB Rodgers Thibodeaux (5-10, 180), Logan Renfro (6-0, 190). All three kids are talented and all three will start somewhere if not QB in the end. The running back position is deeper in 2023 with several players getting reps like Malik Miles (5-10, 205, 4.6 speed) who is a hard worker with power, Kadar Mitchell (6-0, 205) and RB Colby Porshe (5-8, 165) who missed 2022 football season with injury and now healthy in 2023. The starting wide receivers are Braedon Breaux (5-7, 165, 4.5 speed) who is a leader and second-year starter Brody Hebert (6-3 190, 4.6 speed) with only two years of football on varsity. You also have WR Conner Wallace if he doesn’t win the QB spot will be a great WR for the program.

Key lineman back in the program are four-year starter DT/OT Tyrin Winslow (6-5, 285, Sr.) with a ton of upside for . There’s also OL/DT Kentra Lacy (6-4, 290) who is one of the leaders, OL/DL Donald Williams (6-4, 320), center William Brown and DE/LB Javarion Navarre (6-0, 225) was a Center on the Offensive Line in 2022.

Key Defensive backs return in All-District CB Ja’Colby Harris (5-11, 185, 4.59 speed) who is a big-time player who is a lock-down corner. Also back at Defensive Back is CB Riley Verdin (5-11, 160, 4.5 speed) who is another lock-down corner on this team. Verdin is one of the best athletes in the Houma area.
