The Hahnville Tigers at home are one of the toughest programs in Louisiana to try and win a game at their place. The fans are really loud and they pack it every Friday night and love their football team. This is a team that could get a lot of traction as the season goes on and becomes a great team if the younger players bye in with what’s coming back.

“We lost a good bit of our WR group to graduation. We will be more physical in 2022 and focus on the run a lot more in 2023.We have been more finesse in the past as a Offense. We will be more balanced . We are planning on playing by Thanksgiving is the goal for the program.”

The offense will look to running backs senior Chase Brooks (5-10, 200) and Calvin Smith to bring the power and ability to move those chains and control that clock in 2023. Brooks has explosive ability with power and came back from Atlanta where his family moved but he will finish his senior year at Hahnville High School. Smith is strong with 4.45 speed to make this a great duo.

The Tigers will still throw the ball and they have great players back in senior Titus White (5-10, 180) with 4.45 speed and is a big-time playmaker. There’s also WR/FS Kobe Louis (6-3, 190) and WR Dyron Lorio (5-8, 165, 4.4 speed) who his coach says is a baller for the team. The offense also returns a bigger, stronger QB in senior Ryan Gregson (6-3, 190) who hit a growth spurt after last season and grew six inches and put on 20 pounds of good weight and looks like a big-time sleeper recruit for his senior season. The offensive line will be led at first by senior OC/OT Kenneth Lorio (6-3, 275) and OG Khailan McLean (6-0, 260).

The defense will have great team speed again and a talented young front seven. Top players back to lead are DE/DT Fred Downing (6-5, 265), DT Torret Holley (5-10, 285), MLB Bo Parker (5-10, 185), three-year starter senior LB Chase Morales (5-10, 185) and senior SS Ahmand Simmons (5-11, 180) who is tough kid tackler. In the secondary, you have CB Ryan Simmons (5-9, 165, 4.5 speed), CB Raynel Gales (4.5 speed) and SS/FS Will Brown (5-10, 185) who is a tough kid and a good tackler.

The special teams unit will have Kicker Myles Broey with a cannon for a leg and handle the punting duties as well. Three-year starting long snapper Chase Morales can do this in as a sleeper.

The players from Hahnville that were part of the 2023 signing class were ATH Donovan Friloux (Milsaps), WR Dakota Williams (Louisiana Tech), WR/TE Josh Smith (Butler Community -Kansas), DE Cinsere Simmons (Arkansas Tech) and ATH Alavan Sam (Arkansas Tech).
