Loranger has started off the season 1-3, but two of those losses came against two great programs in Amite and Kentwood. Last night, the Wolves lost by one point against St. Thomas Aquinas by a score of 29-28.

The face of the football program this season is three-year starting QB Colton Morris (6-0, 180, Sr.) who is a leader and has a great arm. Morris is a big-time sleeper for s. The skill talent around Morris has talent too in WR/DB Tucker Chapman (6-2, 175, Sr.) who is a four-year starter with good hands, FB/LB Ricky James (6-0, 185, Sr.) who is a four-year starter big-time player with 4.5 speed and power, RB Rylan James has all the tools (4.45 speed), RB Roman James (5-8, 175) with power and speed and RB/WR Landon Shavers (5-10, 165) plays all over the field for the team leader really good athlete.

There are some really good two-way starters back in the trenches for the program in four-year starter OC/DT Blayne Bankston (6-3, 300, Sr.) who is a sleeper, OG/DE Devin Joseph (6-1, 270) who is a big-time player, DT/OG Damontae Muse (6-2, 240, 4.7 speed), SR LB Jordan Mendoza (5-11, 180), OL/DE Jaylon Ard (6-2, 225, Sr.) who is a leader, second-year DE/OT Jayden Alexander (6-3, 230) and a few younger players mixed in to form a great foundation for this team. The defensive backfield returns twin brothers Tycorian (5-8, 160, Sr.) and Zycorian Bryant (5-8, 160, Sr.) who are both really good lock-down defensive backs for the defense. You also have two-way starter, Tucker Chapman.

On special teams, the starting Punter is RB/WR Landon Shavers.

Head Coach Sam Messina worked 11 years under Hall of Fame coach Charlie Baglio at Independence High School. Coach Baglio also coached Messina at Independence as well.

Loranger High School had one player move on to play football after the 2022 season as Letawan Hills signed with Millsaps.
