Key Players Graduated: WR/DB Korin Collins (Track or Football), and MLB/OL/HB William Watson

Team Outlook: “We are going to be really good shock some people in 2024. Scary good. Block High School football is back! We have 4 big time seniors leaders for this program in 2024. These kids have faced alot of adversity going 1-9 in 2022 and 3-7 in 2023 know we have the confidence and experience  as a team learned alot. We have a great group of kids,” said coach Washington. 

The 4 seniors are QB Kristian O’Steen (5-11, 165) All District RB in 2023 but played QB has the skill set to win alot of games for this team, MLB/HB Charleston Allen (5-7, 170) leader, RB Kyleon Barber (5-8, 170) 4.6 speed moved back to Louisiana was in Texas in 2023, and SR Effery Hatten (6-2, 205) DE/OG for team big time leader. Coach is really excited about the young guys mixed in like OL/DL Jorran Curry (6-4, 300), WR/QB/DE/DB Dakota Adams (5-9, 155) sleeper also good in Baseball for the school, TE/DE Caleb Henderson (6-5, 220) hard worker, OL/DL Jaion Curry (5-11, 280) 2nd year starter, Center Jarvor Johnson (6-0, 230) 2nd year starter, RB/WR Marquese Bullitts (5-7, 150) 2nd year starter, CB/WR Mccai Maxon (6-2, 155) 4.5 speed, CB/QB Bryan Bowie (6-3, 160), TE/Ath/QB Jamarcus Bell, CB Rhyjaevyun Bowie recovered from injury big time Athlete, FS Dominique Atkins strong fast 4.5 speed in the forty, and OL/DL James Kirby (6-0, 250) started 4 games in 2023 for the team. 

Delhi Bears

Head Coach: Landry Carter (4th year) 

2023 Record: 7-4

2023 Playoffs: 1st Round lost to Homer HS

2024 Playoffs: Non-Select

Key Players Graduating: DT Justin Dykes, QB Kenyon Smith, WR/FS Donald Morrison, WR/OLB Jermaine Cleveland, WR/LB Chris Washington

Team Outlook: “2023 we made big strides. Playoffs we were close to beating Homer HS in the playoffs. Excited where we are. We have a lot of experience and high expectations," said coach Carter. 

The program returns some special players to lead the younger guys in RB/WR Shamirrius Wright (5-7, 155) with 4.4 speed incredible Athlete, WR/FS/QB Devin Myles, RB/OLB Dashawn Moss a SR (5-11, 170) with power and speed, OT/DT Zion Hogan really strong lineman, DE/DT Jimmy Spruill a SR plays bigger than his size (6-1, 180) 3rd year to start with a great motor, and RB/CB Keagan Moss a small but super quick Athlete both sides of the ball for the program.

2023 Record: 8-2 and won District 5-0

2023 Playoffs: 1st Round lost to Covenant Christian HS

Key Players Graduated: QB/FS Juvari Singleton, LB/FB Davis Cooper, RB Otis Bates Jr, TE/CB Jaydon Griffin

Team Outlook: Return QB and a few skill guys. We lost a lot of lineman in the program 5 overall lineman which is a lot for us. We do return most of our Defense," said coach Wheeler. 

The Offense will have a new starting QB in Will Wiley, a SR who has 4 years in the system and lettered in 2023. The program does return 4 year starter Tyran Singleton who will play many positions as a SR CB/WR/RB/QB to name a few hes (5-11, 180) and a huge part of what this team does overall. Other key players are OG/MLB Jalen Ivy a (5-7, 205) SR tough player, Center/DE Jace Neal (5-10, 175) SR, OL/DE Landry Freeman (5-10, 185) SR, OT/DT Noah Skipper a 2nd year starter (5-11, 225), TE Titus Harrell a SR (6-6, 215), DT/NG Timothy Harrell (6-6, 240), RB/CB Akeem Johnson lettered in 2023 with 4.5 speed, WR/SS Harlem Gilmore, LB Braden Fairbanks (5-11, 160), FS Layne King (5-10, 160) Captain of the Defense, SS Chase Evans, OLB Gunner Smith (5-10, 160) SR, and Special Teams you have K/P/DE Bryce Anderson

Key Players Graduated: LB/RB Kameron Williams, DE/OLB Stephen Everfield, RB/LB Milton Ross

Team Outlook: “Confident how guys have been working. We have a big senior class with 12 to 13 kids coming back which is exciting for the program,” said coach Wells. 

The seniors coach was talking about are mostly 3 and 4 year starters in RB/LB Za’Corrian McCallum (5-10, 195), OL/DL Joshua Hopkins (5-10, 285), CB/WR Ahmonie Williams (5-10, 170) 4.5 speed, TE/WR/OLB Anton Davis (6-0, 170), DT/Center Twan Wilson (5-8, 230), OL/DL J’Zavier Lewis (6-4, 260), OL/DL Jaheem Williams (5-10, 275), and DT Jikalyn Spriggs (5-8, 270) missed 2023 season is back. Underclassman mixed in to start are TE/WR/OLB Jordan Grimes, RB/OLB Kourtez Moore, WR/CB Jbion Newsome, MLB JaMarion Powell, and QB Keimare Campbell. Special Teams will be Punter Almonie Williams, Kicker Joshua Hopkins, and Long Snapper Keimare Campbell

St. Frederick Warriors

Key Players Graduating: OT Vasser Day (ULL), DE Kenny Cooper, DE Aaron Parker, DE Brennan McCarthy, and K/P Garrett Taylor

Team Outlook: The Warriors hired a new coach during Spring of 2024 in Chip Builderback. Coach comes from Mississippi, where he did a great job with a program called Columbia HS. Coach won a State Title at Columbia HS in 2021 and played for another in 2023. Coach was 70-12 with the program from 2018-2023. 

The program will have a new QB named in Summer because the starting QB left for another school and the job is open for someone to win. The program does return RB Montrel Conor who has snaps at QB but is much needed at RB for the team with 4.4 speed and one of the best RB’s in Louisiana. Other skill players back are 3 time All State WR/FS William Patrick, a SR who made All State so far in 3 different sports: Football, Baseball & Track. Patrick is (6-2, 200) and runs a legit 4.5 or better forty. More skill talent will be WR Miller Day, RB MJ Dade another great Athlete with 4.5 speed or better, WR/CB Kaden Miller All District in 2023 and will be a SR had a few touchdowns in 2023 for the team at (5-11, 185), RB/TE Cole Parino (6-1, 198) leader, RB/LB Darrell Cooper All District in 2023 and big time player, and CB Harper Joiner a SR. Key lineman and Linebackers back are OT Eli Carr a 3 year starter (6-2, 260), OG/DT A.J Jacola (6-2, 235) 3 year starter, OT Wyatt Polland, DT/OG Samplice Simien a 3 year starter (6-1, 280) SR leader, OLB/SS Clayton Turpin, OLB/SS Owen O’Neil, and LB A.J Melna a 3 year starter (5-10, 205) recovered from a injury in 2023. Special Teams is Kicker Harper Joiner, who made a 47 yarder against Cedar Creek HS in 2023. Long Snapper will be A.J Melna

Tensas Panthers

Head Coach: Quinton Powell (7th year) 

2023 Record: 1-9

2023 Playoffs: None

2024 Playoffs: Non-Select

Key Players Graduating: CB/WR Jaden Johnson

Team Outlook: “I have 1 full time assistant here at Tensas HS with experience. We have 25 players for the Summer. We have another young team. A lot of 8th graders and Juniors will be playing in 2024. Team will mostly play the same 12-15 players all year the whole game,” said coach Powell. 

The High School has an enrollment under 150 kids. Key players back to play both sides of the ball are WR/CB Aden Brown, DE/RB Xavier Gibson, WR/CB/QB Deon Percy, QB/DE/OLB Emajai Bethel, DE/Athlete Curtis Cephus, DB/WR/KR Jakwon Huggins, OL/DL Jacolvy McCarty (6-3, 305), OL/DL Jaquan Marshall (5-11, 245), OL/DL Dary Gray (6-4, 285), and OL/DL Khristopher Harbor (6-1, 280).
