Head Coach: Lawrence Seawood (1st year)

Key Players Graduating: RB/LB Kaleb Collins, and OL/DL Jordan Kirts.

Team Outlook: “We are the underdogs in the District in 2024. Lets show everyone we can win. We will surprise some people. Show up every day and work. Change the culture here. We tell the kids patient build the program as a group young and older players work together to win in 2024,” said coach Seawood.

The program will have a new head coach but hes not new to the program. Lawrence Seawood will be going into his 13th year with the staff but 1st year as the head coach in 2024. Coach Seawood is a graduate of Northwestern State U, and played football and went to school at Natch Central High School graduate of 2002. The team does return some experience with most players playing both sides of the football. The Offense leaders back are QB LaMarion Rushing (6-1, 170) SR humble hard working kid coach told me leader, RB/SS returning starter Omarion Pier (5-9, 165) SR full speed all the time best tackler on team leader, OL/DL Ryan Hubbard (5-10, 280) SR leader of the lineman units, and FB/MLB Amania Green (5-10, 245) leader of the team coach said doesnt miss pratice or workouts helping change the culture of the program Athletic kid. More key players back in the program are FS/CB/WR Kylin Collins (5-10, 160) SR coming off a late injury in 2023 and recovered has a lot of experence will play all Secondary spots and some WR on Offense, LB/RB/FB Lantravious McKinney 2nd year starter, DT/OL Malek Lewis (5-9, 235) young leader, OL/DL/OT Kenlynn Jackson (5-10, 235) 2nd year starter, Center/DT/LB Juan Pablos (5-9, 225) SR all out player tough leader, SS Trace Prudhomme (5-8, 162) SR one of the best hitters on the team, WR/FS La’Darrien Logan (6-4, 155) SR new starter, OL/DL Christian Burke (5-10, 175), and WR/DB Austin Cherry (5-9, 150) SR all out player is also back.

LaSalle Tigers

Head Coach: Hunter Johnson (1st Year) 

2023 Record: 4-6

Key Players Graduated: WR/DB Hunter Bradford. WR/DB Sean Durr, FB/LB/K Tanner Gagne, OL/DL Haden Doughty, RB/DB Justin Valentine, OL/DT Eli Peppers LB Hayden White, OL/DL Jamorian Turner.

Team Outlook: “We have a young team and just need to grow up early. We have a chance and have the pieces to become a better team than some might have us in the end,” said coach Johnson.

The best Athlete on the team is Tuff Street WR/DB/QB for the program returns. More skill players competing both sides of the football are RB/WR/LB Jesse Stowe (5-6, 150), WR/DB Caiden Finley huge heart at (5-6, 140), RB/LB Wyatt King new starter with ability, QB/DB Mason Lee has a really good arm and leading candidate to be the teams QB competing with Tuff Street, and you have FB/LB Cooper Stowe 2nd year starter over 215 pounds. Key players in the trenches to help the program win are OL/DE Matthew Thompson (6-3, 220) 4.65 speed, OL/DL Canaan Stowe (6-3, 260) Good feet 2nd year starter, LB/TE Stephen Fowler (6-0, 180), OL/DL Caleb Fowler competing, and OL/DL Hunter Wilson (6-3, 330) a new starter missed the 2023 season has some ability to help the team in a hurry in 2024.

Head Coach: Kevin Magee (11th year)

Key Players Graduated: WR/CB D’warr’tez Chatman, LB/QB Steven Holloway, Center Nathan Wheless, OT/DT Cratelyn Henderson (Kilgore Texas JC), and OT/DT Darmarcus Thomas.

Team Outlook: The program coach Magee has built has been stable for many years and the staff do a great job with the players every year. The season will lean on 2 Running Backs for a lot of their success in 2024 3 year starter RB/DE Tonashton Bland (6-2, 225) 4.6 speed big time sleeper might go over 1,000 yards in 2024 and 2nd year starter RB/LB Ju’kadynn Carter (6-2, 180) SR a great 1-2 punch for any HS Offense. The Offense also returns WR Jordan Mitchell, a 3 year starter (5-11, 168), and QB Keaton Cason will be the new starter under center. Cason lettered in 2023 so he has experience and knows the Offense. The Offensive Line has a chance to be pretty good lead by Pacer Williams (6-0, 250), OL Cane McCoy (5-11, 245), OL Aiden Wallace (5-10, 280), and Center/OL Ayden Davis (5-11, 255) SR with strong frame and good feet. The Defense will be young but return leaders LB Hunter Martin All District MVP of the District on Defense, DT Treville Townsley (6-2, 255) 3 year starter, RB Bland also will start DE, RB Carter also CB, and then you have LB Aujavious Handy a 2nd year starter (5-11, 205) also a FB for the Offense.

2023 Playoffs: 1st Round lost to Lake Arthur HS 46-35. 2024

Team Outlook: “Lost 3 Seniors from last year which is like 6 starters for us. Return a big Senior class for the program in 2024. Future is bright best team in 5 years on paper with experience and a senior lead group,” said coach Williams.

The program will have a new Head Coach in 2024 Taylor Williams the son of former Head Coach through 2023 Brian Williams who just retired after 20 years with the program hands the ball off to his son who’s been on the staff with his dad since 2021 and played for Montgomery HS. Key players back to start both sides of the football most of the team are QB Nathan Jordan, DT/DE Kade Tomlin (6-1, 205) SR 2nd year starter, LB/RB Jocrian Shephard (5-9, 175) SR, RB/DB Darius Van Buren (5-11, 165) SR, WR/DB Layton Martin (6-0, 175) SR, WR/DB Ayden Jones (5-10, 160) SR, OL/DE/LB Willie Christian (6-3, 205) SR, OL/LB Dane Collins (6-0, 200) SR, OC/DE Rogan Edwards (5-9, 165) SR, and DE/OT Jett Bullock (6-3, 230).

Head Coach: Tommy Moore(4th year)

Key Players Graduated: OL/DL Jacob Skaggs and TE/DE Khalil Page

Team Outlook: “We are looking forward to this season as a year that we will hopefully get back on the wunning ways after a couple of down years. We have gotten older over the past couple of seasons and hopefully that experience will finally pay off. Kids are working extremely hard this Summer and due to being older, they are finally understanding the importance of HARD WORK,” said coach Moore.

The program will have a QB that can make things happen in AJ Butler All District in 2023 great Athlete and coach is hoping he has another great year at (6-1,195) good size with feet and a good arm. More of the best players back that will start both sides of the football are WR/Athlete Jahari McCoy (6-0,176) still new to football after playing first time in 2023, WR/DB Kadorian Brown tough hard nosed player coach said, RB/LB Tyler Bowman has great size(6-2,195) and power with speed, OL/DL James Wise (6-4, 230) another tough kid, OL/DL James Bradford (5-10, 240) reliable tough lineman, OL/DL Jayden Bradford (5-7, 234) 3 year starter leader, and OL/DL Jayden Page (6-3, 215), 2023 was his 1st year to play football and the sky is the limit for this young man.

St. Mary’s Tigers

Head Coach: Kedrin Seastrunk (1st year)

Key Players Graduated: QB/FS Mixon Bankston, DE/RB Drake Griffin (Southern Arkansas), TE/LB Ben Bienvenu (ULL), RB/SS Ethan Busby, and Kicker/CB Payne Willams (Colorado State).

Team Outlook: “QB position will be open going into the fall. We have the opportunity to rebuild and be special down the road. Very blessed with this opportunity to be in this position to get the job with leadership and be a major impact for the kids to create a foundation very grateful,” said coach Seastrunk. 

New Head Coach Seastrunk played for Northwestern State U football Tight End from Newton Texas HS, and graduated in 2008. Coach was on the St. Mary’s staff coaching WR’s and Defensive Backs in 2023. The QB spot like coach talked about the leading player to get the position going into the Summer is Preston Tilley (6-0, 175). There’s also Athlete/RB/WR Braylon Normand competing for the QB job, also a 3 year starter. A third player in the mix for QB Jackson Godfrey who has a really good arm. All three of these kids will play somewhere for the team. Other skill leaders back are RB John PaulThibodeaux 4.5 speed very fast, Brady Childress RB/WR/DB and rest skill players will be players stepping up in the Summer. Key lineman back are OT/DT Atlas Hicks 230 pounds, OL/LB Tucker Johnson tough leader, OT/DE 4 year starter Peyton Mitchell (6-1, 195) SR leader, OL/DL Grevila Fisher (6-2, 195) SR 2nd year starter and OL/DL Blaise Conant (6-0, 330).
