Church Point Bears
Head Coach: William Pool (2nd year) 2023
Record: 6-5
2023 Playoffs: 1st Round lost to Iota HS.

Key players Graduated: MLB Da’Marion Guy, RB/QB Jaden Reese, OG Carter Fontenot, OT Gavin Benoit, TE Bryce Lejeune, DE Braxton Meche, DT Wyatt Daigle and LB Damarrion Guy.
Team Outlook: “Great off season for the program. We as a team have speed, and strength in the secondary. Need to replace some really good lineman. We need young kids to play with energy lights and get some game experience,” said coach Pool.
QB Luke Bauboin returns for his 2nd year as leader of the team. Bauboin is also a Baseball starter for the HS. The run game will always feature more than one player getting carries RB/CB Jaheim Moore (5-7, 160) 4.5 speed, RB/FS Tyrease Boast 3 year starter 4.59 speed, WR/RB/CB Jarrison Reese a 2nd year starter 4.6 speed, and MLB/RB Blathon Citizen leader young player with power and speed. The Offensive Line is young but returns OT Braxton Leblanc (6-2, 265) 2nd year starter State Champion in powerlifting, and OG Grant Heindricks (5-11, 185) SR leader. Another Wr to keep an eye on in the Offense is Noah Wiltz 4.6 speed good hands. The Defense is made up of most of the same players from the Offense plus MLB/OLB Chad Brooks, DT Elijah Savoie, DT Jeremiah Boyd and many younger players still battling for spots for depth. Special Teams Seth Alleman will handle both Punting & Kicking duties for the team.
Crowley Gents
Head Coach: Eric Cooley (1st year) 2023

Key Players Graduated: QB/Athlete Omar Butler, OL De’Quaylin Monroe, Center Darian Cormier, and DT/LB Joseph Livers.
Team Outlook: “Numbers are 45 players this Spring and Summer. Fall school enrollment is 470 or so kids. The program is 5-32 in wins and losses the last 4 years. We are trying to change the culture. We will run some Wing-T and the gun on Offense. Defense mostly runs a 3-4 Defense. We have a small senior group of leaders,” said coach Cooley.
Most skill starters will play both sides of the ball and the programs still has some quality players in QB Dustin Walters lettered in 2023 lefty good Athlete, WR/DB Floyd Flugence, WR/DB Marcus Wilridge (6-0, 165) SR, RB Marcus Etienne (5-6, 180) quick, RB/FS Troy Grant (6-0, 190) SR big time RB for the team, RB/DB Toren Robinson, and TE/FB Cam Maxwell. Key lineman in the program are OL/DT Lamagai Wilson (5-11, 275) SR, OG Neven Leveon 2nd year starter, Center Christian Menard strong kid, LB/DE De’jean Brown tough player, and 4 year starter Ricky Webb 305 pounds DT for team with great feet. Special Teams Kicker and Punter will be Sam Hernandez (5-8, 175) SR also a starting FS for the team.
Iota Bulldogs
Head Coach: Ray Aucoin (3rd year) 2023
Record: 8-4. Won District
2023 Playoffs: 2nd Round lost to Cecillia HS.

Key Players Graduated: LB Jackson Scott, RB Jacob Cormier, WR/FS Dylan Callahan, P/CB Blayten Fontenot, DT/FB Brock Keltner, TE/FB Dustin Hebert, WR Landon Roy.
Team Outlook: “We need to be tough again in 2024. Smaller team in 2024. We will play really good technique on both sides of the ball this year," said coach Aucoin.
Head Coach Ray Aucoin and staff do a great job he's helped his teams win District both in 2022 and 2023. The program returns one of the best keep secrets at QB in the state in Peyton Renfro (6-1, 190) SR with a cannon arm threw for over 2,400 yards with 34 touchdowns in 2023. Renfro completed 62.8 percent of his passes also. More key skill players are RB Connor Fruge a (5-9, 180) SR, WR Jayce Lantier (5-10, 165) SR, LB/RB Mason Lantz, WR Landon Padgett and WR Ezekel Wall MVP of the District in Baseball and also teams backup QB. The Offensive Line is a strong point of the team with OL Seth Leckelt (5-10, 215) SR, OL Cole Simar (6-0, 260) SR 4th year starter, OL Lane Andreport (5-10, 220) 2nd team All District in 2023, and OL Ethan Caswell (5-9, 195) SR. The glue to the Defense returns DE/DT Trevor Ruffner (5-10, 228) SR Bench Presses 415 pounds and won State Power lifting for his class. There’s also LB Lance Beasley (5-10, 180) SR, CB Noah Ardoin (6-0, 180) SR Baseball All District, DE Evan Mitchell (5-10, 170) SR quick, Safety Austin Francois, and LB Mason Lantz 2 way starter. Special Teams is one of the best in the District with Kicker Patrick Aton a SR with a DI leg and Punter Ezekel Wall (6-2, 180) SR.
Mamou Demons
Head Coach: Laquinton Lamb (1st year) 2023

Key Players Graduated: LB/QB Shamous Frank, WR/DB Zeric Weston
Team Outlook: “We will run the Wing-T Offense in 2024. We have kids committed to the program. Havent won 5 games since 2005 for the program. We will play 6 teams with new Head Coaches in 2024,” said coach Lamb.
The key to the season is QB Desmond Skinner staying healthy for this program this year, he's an All District type player and would be big for the program as a SR. The team has a few skill players that can make things happen in RB Zamaurri Brown, RB/LB Keontez Campbell 3 year starter, RB/CB Kegan Richard (5-5, 135), WR/CB Andre Vidrine (5-10, 150) SR good hands, WR Ashton Johnson 4.5 speed, FB Shamus Frank (5-6, 200) SR, and TE Shay Collins back for his SR year at (6-6, 195). The Lineman in the program most will play both sides of the ball in OT/DT Xyien Leday, OC/OG/DL Eli Miller, OG/OLB Marlinski Viltz (5-9, 205) SR, DT Trenton Laurent (5-7, 175) SR, Center Merrick Markentel, DT/OL Demarion Melancon and TE/LB Aaron Bieber (6-0, 190) SR. Key Linebackers and Defensive Backs are LB Peyton Ashford leading tackler from 2023, LB Keontez Campbell, LB/FB Jaylen Smith (5-7, 215) SR, LB Ethan Mcauley, FS Javien Charles 4.6 speed, CB Kevin Slaughter, CB Kevin Jason, CB Keegan Richard, CB Andre Vidrine, and FS 2 way starter Zamaurri Brown.
Northwest Raiders
Head Coach: Chris Edwards (11th year) 2023
Record: 10-4

Key Players Graduated: DE/TE Mackenzie Ardoin, RB Ja’Vain Reese, OT Conner Pitre, OG/DT Percy Chavis, and TE Davontae Brown.
Team Outlook: “We will be in a rebuild for our Offense. We lost 80% of our Offensive starters from the 2023 season. We do return 8 starters on Defense,” said coach Edwards.
The Raiders coaches do a great job winning every year. The program had huge wins in 2023 over Franklin Parish HS, Wossman HS, and Assumption HS, all great programs in 2023. The Offense even though it lost most of its starters, does return starting QB Jayden Chavis, a SR (5-8, 170) heart of the team and big time leader. Also back is RB Ke’Von Johnson who transferred from ST. Edmund HS but hes from the Northwest area has run for over 2, 000 yards in his career so far with 4.5 speed and power big time addition for this Offense. There's a few players who will make impact on offense skill wise WR/RB Markez Davis, WR/RB Craig Malveaux, WR Ronald Lavergne, WR/SS Dillon Guilbeau, TE Brycen Comeaux (6-0, 200) rotate in and RB Samuel LeDay will also rotate in. The Offensive Line will be mostly new players but will build around OT/DT Curtis Harrison, a 3 year starter (6-3, 305), and OG Deveron Rubin (6-4, 305) SR. The Defense will be one of the best in the District in 2024 OLB/TE District MVP and All State player Davon Thibodeaux (6-3, 220) 4.6 speed, LB/RB Kylan Serya (5-8, 185) SR, DE Jei’Vionne Owens, Safety Ty Sam (5-6, 160) SR, CB Hayden Brown big time cover guy, SS Brayden Batiste (5-8, 170) SR, OLB Bri’lynn Synegal (6-1, 180) SR sleeper, CB Jermaire Washington Jr (5-10, 160) SR, OLB/Safety Frederick Nimer 4.5 speed, and CB Cameron Lazard (6-2, 170) SR will rotate in sleeper. Special Teams Kicker will be Garon Fontenot. Long Snapper will be Logan Moore.
Pine Prairie Panthers

Team Outlook: “Success this season will be the staple to get more kids to join the football team going forward. Low numbers has been what I think has held the program back in the past. The boys have been working extremely hard and are ready to finally take the next step in improving the program. They are learning what it’s like to commit to the process on how to do things. We will be a inexperienced team. All Offensive & Defensive Schemes will be new for the kids to learn for fall,” said coach Myers.
This will be coach Myers 17th year as a coach.The Offense returns 5 starters and the Defense returns 3 starters. The Defense will go with a 3/4/3/3 hybrid Defense and on offense the program will install the split back veer scheme. Key Seniors back to lead this young program are OL/DL Caydon Descant (6-3, 245) SR, RB/DB Draylin Freeman (5-9, 165) SR, RB/LB Caden Askey(5-10, 180)SR, RB/DB Kyle Basco (5-8, 160) SR, TE/LB Riley Fontenot (6-0, 210) SR, and RB/DB Logan Vidrine (5-9, 165) SR. Younger players coming back to help the program are QB/DB Ashton Deville (6-1,180), WR/LB Braylon Fontenot (6-1, 180), RB/DB Cade Rollins (5-9, 190), TE/LB Grant Welch (6-1, 200), and RB/LB Tanner McCollough (6-1, 170).
Ville Platte Bulldogs
Head Coach: Chris Bland (1st year) 2023

Key Players Graduating: WR/OLB Christian Aclis, QB Bastian Veillon, and WR/CB Jakalan Slaughter
Team Outlook: “Haven't been to the playoffs since 2016 as a program. We will have a two QB system in 2024. We are moving Offense from a Wing-T to a Spread offense in 2024,” said coach Bland.
I really love the hire of coach Bland, he's a graduate of Grambling State U, and recently coached at Istrouma HS in Baton Rouge and graduated from Belaire HS in 2002. The two QB’s are Braylin Griffin and Zion Thomas both young and talented players coach can use for both there strengths in 2024 on Offense. The program has some big time skill talent in WR Chavez Tezeno 6-6 in height, Safety/WR Jarian Leday (6-1, 180) SR sleeper 4.5 speed, RB/LB Traelyn Doucet (6-1, 190) SR, Damyrien Doucet WR/OLB (6-4, 215), RB/WR/DB Kendarius Doucet 4.5 speed, Athlete Montagon Dixon (5-11, 170) 4.40 speed, DB Dalyn Seri (6-0, 180) SR 4.6 speed great Athlete, FB/LB Jamar Thomas and WR/KR Tavion Thomas 4.5 speed big time in Basketball too. The team also has quality lineman in OT/DE Tyron Thomas 6-6 in height, OL/DL Javion Alfred (6-3, 260), Center Robert Anderson (6-2, 280), DT Traylin Jordan (6-1, 290), LB/FB Kyle Gallow (6-0, 218), OL Landon Arvie (6-0, 225) and LB Da’veon Anderson (6-0, 215).
