Team Outlook: “I came in July/August late 2023. We had 14 seniors graduate from the 2023 team that's a lot for our program. We did not have a Jamboree in 2023 by the time I came in last year. We had no Spring and no Summer. We also lost 2 QB’s from 2023 and most of our starters graduated from the 2023 team. I am excited we had a Spring this year and a Summer so the goal is to keep working hard and build,” said coach Spears.

This schedule will build character for the team and make us better for the playoffs,” said coach Williams.
Another young team for Madison Prep HS but another talented team that has a chance to jell and become a challenger in the end for a title in 2024. The Offense even though they lost a lot of experience, returns a few really good players to become a great Offense QB Tyler Johnson (5-10, 185) SR leader with a lot of experience. Team Outlook: I think the program is on solid ground but a lot was lost from the 2023 team and it will be interesting to see how everything shapes up for 2024. I think losing All State 3 year starting QB Abram Johnston 2, 621 total yards with 40 touchdowns in 2023, was the biggest loss to replace for the program he was special for the Eagles. The program has been winning with great coaching and tough starters and not much depth. This year might have same depth but a ton of new starters unproven on both sides of the football. The coaches at Parkview do a great job and they will figure it out. One of the best programs in Louisiana with 5 State Titles in football. After Spring coach gave me some players they will build around in Kicker Gavin Higgins (5-11, 170) SR one of the best in Louisiana DI leg 4 year starter, DT Victor Hollins a 4 year starter (6-0, 275) SR, OL Jackson Loflin (5-10, 255), WR/DB CJ DeLeon, LB John Lee, DB Gatlyn Grace, OL/DL Dominick DeLeon (6-0, 320), Athlete/LB Jackson Byerley (6-1, 220) 37 tackles with 4 Sacks, 8 TFL, 3 forced fumbles, and 4 fumble recoveries 2nd team All District. OL/DL Tristan Papillion (6-3, 300) new starter, DB Jacob Hess (5-9, 165) leader SR, TE/DE Brody Miller, CB/QB Will Goza, QB Noah Graves, CB/WR Ethan DeRouen (5-9, 165) SR, 4 year starter gritty WR/DB Brock Comeaux (5-8, 170) leader, 3 year starter 46 catches 1,075 yards with 15 touchdowns in 2023 as a WR, All State & All District, OL/DL Cohen Carmouche (6-0, 225) leader SR, TE/LB Parker Bozeman SR, DB Hunter Boudreaux, and WR Tre Baron.

The Pelicans SR class has a chance to do some special things in 2024 as a team. It will all being with QB Hunter Bodin running the Offense again 2nd year to start. Bodin started 6 games in 2023 got a ton of experience. Team Outlook: I was able to see the team in person in the middle of Spring practice and came away really impressed. I saw a team with a great mix of size and speed that can win State in the end. I was very impressed how fast the team was and how big. Might be the biggest U High team I have seen overall with a combination of all Athletic Lineman not just size. The Cubs will return starting QB Emile Picarella, a SR who threw for 2,313 yards 34 touchdowns with only 3 interceptions in 2023 with college size (6-2, 205) to become one of the best in the state at his position. The Offense lost a lot of experience at WR and RB but return a few talented players to not miss a beat in WR/TE Trushaad Bush (6-2, 210) SR 20 catches for 177 yards with 3 touchdowns in 2023, WR/DB Zay Martin (5-10, 170) SR 36 catches 461 yards with 6 touchdowns in 2023 big time WR with great speed playmaker, WR/DB Jayden Gloston (6-0, 190) another playmaker fast, RB Sage Ingram, WR/DB Lawson Dixon (5-10, 170) 13 catches for 250 yards with 4 touchdowns in 2023, RB/LB Alec Haynes a 3 year starter leader (6-1, 241) SR, 3 touchdowns in 2023 and the talented RB/LB Keylan Moses (6-3, 205) SR ran for 482 yards with 7 touchdowns and on Defense had 69 tackles, 20 TFL, 2 fumble recoveries and 9 sacks in 2023, it's his year to dominate for this team both sides of the football. The Offensive Line will be one of the most Athletic and if not the best in the state by season end lead by OL/DL Jarvis Brookshire (6-0, 285) SR leader, OL John Hebert (6-3, 264) SR leader, OT Preston Jones (6-5, 280) sleeper leader, OL Cayson Hill (6-0, 271), TE Charlie Pettit (6-3, 235), OT Jordan Pinnock (6-5 255), OL Jalen Hall (6-3, 285), and OL/DL Lamar Brown (6-4, 275) one of the most gifted lineman in the country. Defense is led by speed and more speed with some size. DE/DT Lamar Brown you can't really block the whole game (6-4, 275) makes the front strong, LB Keylan Moses makes the LB group one of the best in the state with his 4.45 speed, and the Defensive Backs have speed and tough lead by DB Jayden Glosten, DB Zay Martin, Athlete Darius Coleman might play some Offense, DB Erin Moore, LB Alec Haynes big time player back, DB Patrick Patton 4.5 speed LB Corbin Odell and RB/Athlete Emanuel Moses, and DB Lorenzo Cooper.
