Key Players Graduating: QB Kenneth Christophe, RB/LB Derrick Cooper, RRB/LB Gerald Johnson, RB/DB Brice Bridges, WR Pharrell Stevens, WR Paris Norris, OT Brian Nelson, OT Nate James (Pearl River Mississippi JC), TE/DE Bryson Taylor, and CB Samarion Butler.
Team Outlook: “14 seniors graduated in 2023. We want to go 10-0 in 2024. We had good Spring learned a lot about our new players. Downhill running team and Defense we will show out play aggressive,” said coach Heath.
The new starting QB will be Kharon Christophe a (5-11, 175) SR with 4.5 speed and a 4.3 GPA in the classroom. Theres also some really good skill talent back in RB Gerald Jackson (5-11, 190) SR sleeper with 4.55 speed and power in the open field. The Offense when the ball is thrown in the air will look for WR Christopher Joseph (5-8, 165) 4.5 speed in the forty or WR Jaheim Butler (5-10, 180) also a Defensive Back for the team with 4 interceptions in 2023 lead the team and going into his 2nd year as a starter. The Offense will depend on SR Center Trent Williams (5-10, 245) leadership to carry this program. Williams is that guy the program players listen too vocal. Also back for the program are OT/OG/DT Jayden Clark (6-5, 290), TE/OLB Kameron Henry (5-11, 205) new starter, OT/DT Eric Brack (6-4, 280), DE/LB Mahki Allen (6-0, 200) 2nd year starter with 4.6 speed in the forty, DB/OLB Joshua Johnson (6-2, 185) SR tough kid sideline to sideline tackler old school, DE/TE Frank Collier (6-0, 195) SR, and DT Jaogues Smith (6-1, 235) SR. Special Teams returns new starter Kicker Carlos Bonilla (6-1, 170) strong leg and soccer DI player also for the school.

Team Outlook: I did not get team information from the Head Coach. I will say this, cant wait to see how the team responds after missing last year in 2023 as a football program. The school still has great players and a lot of history to become successful again in 2024.
Frederick A. Douglas Bobcats

Team Outlook: “We will have a 4 wide Offense in 2024. Good group. Jelling this Summer. We are trying to get to Thanksgiving for the first time in program history. A lot of players back have experience. All five Offensive Lineman are back, and 5 Wide Receivers return,” said coach McClou.
Like coach said the Offense line will be the strong point of this team. Lets meet those players along the line De’Aundrea Patterson (6-2, 320) SR, OC/OL Malachi Cureaux (6-2, 255) All District in 2023, OL Ahmad Ellis (6-1, 270) SR are the heart and soul of this team. The new starting QB will be Vance Reed (6-0, 170) a WR in 2023 did a great job in Spring. The rest of the skill players are WR Kyron Lewis (6-0, 160) SR, WR Skylar Reed (6-1, 165), WR Kevin Jackson (5-10, 175) SR sleeper, RB Arthur Freetime (5-10, 185) SR power and speed, RB Zen Tate (5-8, 155) 4.45 speed, & HB Jeffrey Turner (5-9, 180) SR tough blocker player, and young players providing depth. The Defense will build around DT Bito Odom (6-4, 330) SR has a ton of raw talent. The rest of the Defense you have DT Orvin Hartford (5-9, 270) SR tough player in middle, DE Kaylee Collier (6-3, 225), DT Malik Dailet (6-1, 250), LB Durand Louis (5-11, 205) new starter from St. Augustine HS, LB Tyren Donaldson talented young player, Safety Ziron Washington (5-11, 180) SR, CB Tafton Marshall (5-10, 165), and CB Kaleem Collier (5-11, 170). Special Teams at Kicker will be Julio Ballesterros (5-6, 170) has a good leg.
Carver Rams
Head Coach: Luis Figueroa (1st year)

Key Players Graduated: WR Tory Pinkney, LB Gregory Henderson, WR Cash Williams, OL Terrell Parker, CB Raylone Smith, CB/WR Edmonta Reid, CB Lorenzo Galmon and FS/WR Joshua Amacker.
Team Outlook: “Only played 3 games as a program in 2023. Setting standard socks to shirt with program players and our QB holds players to that leadership. We will be pretty young. We have close to 50 players in program. Freshman coming in might get us to 60 players overall for the fall,” said coach Figueroa.
After talking to coach it is almost a completely new team. There are two players that did come back that the word leader is a big word with these kids QB Jadan Verrett (6-2, 190) SR never missed a workout coach told me and is vocal about commitment to the program. Also 4 year starting Offensive Lineman Earl Catchings (5-11, 280) SR mature beyond his years never missed a workout will lead this team in 2024 a very young team overall. The program also returns leaders MLB Brian Crawford (6-2, 210), 4.6 speed, RB Jordan Perriotte (5-11, 198) SR sleeper with 4.59 speed, OL/DL Kendrick Gutter (5-9, 240) SR all out player leader, CB Jadon Simmons (5-9, 175) SR 4.45 speed, OG/LB Jemahj west 3 year starter (5-9, 235) SR, and WR/RB Freddie Barra high IQ of the game. More key players back are WR/TE Trace Johnson III great hands, WR Montrell Randolph 4.39 speed, OT Shaundell Farlough (5-11, 210), LB Jerrod Johnson strong kid, DE/OLB Kernel Jupiter (6-2, 185) SR sleeper, DT Ernest Brown (5-11, 303), CB Terrance Williams (5-8, 155), and Safety Ray Hines Henry a big time player. Special Teams Kicker will be Yari Perez a All District Soccer player for the school too.

Team Outlook: “A lot of work to do. A lot of new young players in the program. 12 starters graduated and 22 seniors graduated off our team in 2023. Our depth is all new guys. Grow up fast. We do have 4 starters back on the Offensive Line,” said coach Daggs.
The program will be young but returns one of the top 3 skill recruits in the state in SR Jakai Anderson (6-0, 175) a rare 4 year starter with rare skills on the field 4.4 speed in uniform and shorts. Anderson will keep this young team in every game and like coach said 4 starters come back to the Offensive Line to build around. The young Offensive lineman are Center Lorenzo Langlois (5-11, 330) SR 2nd year starter, OL Latrell Smith (6-0, 250) SR 2nd year starter, OL Rashed Landry (5-9, 225) SR 2nd year starter and OL Chase Bolton (6-1, 250) SR 2nd year starter. More skill talent to help the talented Anderson will be new starting QB Elden Anderson lettered in 2023 (5-11, 165) SR with a dual threat set up good arm and feet 4.6 forty speed, CB Jakobi Anderson another National recruit DB with 4.45 speed or better and can also play some WR, CB Justin Ross (5-10, 175) 4.45 speed, RB Naamon Landry Transfer from Carver HS (5-10, 175) SR speed and power, RB Ashton Thomas power (5-9, 195), and CB Johaan Anderson (5-9, 160) SR. The Defensive front will have the chance to be really good quick and fast lead by DE/DT Lyndon Vallery (6-3, 245) SR big time player, LB Keith Newsome (6-2, 210) SR 4 year starter leader, OLB Simeon Washington (6-3, 200) SR 4.65 speed, OLB DaShawn Dales (5-10, 185) SR leader 4.65 speed, DT Landen Keith (6-3, 245) SR, DE Caine McCleod (6-2, 210) SR, DT Suvy Lavender (5-11, 250) SR leader, and LB Alvin Williams (5-9, 185) SR. Special Teams will be Kicker Collin Porter a SR with a good leg.
