School: Catholic of Pointe Coupee
Class of 2025
Position: OT & DL
Height: 6'5
Weight: 300
Rory had an outstanding junior season, recording 30 pancake blocks, allowing 0 sacks, and contributing 70 tackles with 12 tackles for loss. His performance earned him 1st Team All-District honors on both sides of the ball and 2nd Team All-State as both an offensive and defensive lineman. His hard work and success have led to seven Division 1 offers from schools like LA Tech, Air Force, Nicholls, Southeastern, Northwestern State, SEMO, and the University of Central Arkansas.
Rory loves the versatility of playing on both sides of the ball, allowing him to stay on the field and compete at the highest level. He has a lot of respect for his coaching staff, particularly Head Coach Jacob Carruth, who despite being young, is always improving and learning from each game. The diverse offensive playbook makes football exciting for Rory, as it gives him a chance to execute a variety of formations and concepts.
Although Rory plays basketball and throws shot put in the spring, his recruitment focus has been football. His schedule is packed with three sports, but in his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, hunting, and being out on the river.
Louisiana Tech stands out as his favorite college because it’s small, close to home, and the people there are passionate about football. He’s also a die-hard fan of the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans.
In college, Rory plans to major in Business Administration or Management with the goal of getting his MBA. He’s also considering attending law school afterward. Football runs in the family—his dad, Myron Lambert, played at LSU, and his brother currently starts for Nicholls State.
