Class of 2022 Recruit Spotlight: John Curtis High School Defensive Back and McNeese State Signee Javon Davis

Javon Davis is a 6’1, 180 pound defensive back from John Curtis High School. Javon has great speed shown by his 4.5/40 time, which really helps him make big time plays. According to Javon, the biggest challenge for him and his team this season was that they were a young team, with many underclassmen on both sides of the ball. Javon had to show off his leadership skills this season. Being one of the few upperclassmen, Javon decided to step up and help his teammates and coaches to ensure his team wouldn’t fall short. Javon plans to continue his playing career at McNeese State University, where he will major in business and minor in communications. In terms of , Javon says that he is most excited about the change in atmosphere and the increased level of competition. Javon is a competitor and always loves to play amongst the best.
