Class of 2022 Recruit Spotlight: South Beauregard High School OT Zach Peresich

by Jennifer Williams

South Beauregard High School’s Zach Peresich stands at 6’3” and 275 pounds. Peresich, a tackle for the Knights, says what inspires him to keep going is, “I like the challenge to better myself every chance I get and I enjoy proving everyone wrong that said I couldn’t do it.” He says his ultimate football dream is to be the best version of himself he can be. Peresich says his favorite football memory is a 20 yard pancake block in the end zone. Peresich says his greatest strengths are his strong legs. He adds, “I’m a solid offensive lineman with good hand control.” Louisiana Football Magazine owner Lee Brecheen agrees with Peresich, commenting that he does indeed have strong legs. Peresich also says he is “determined”, and says, “If I have an idea in my mind, I’m going to do everything in my capability to make sure I complete the task.” He handles adversity “usually pretty well, I’m fairly headstrong and push through even when it’s tough,” he says.

Peresich started playing football at a young age. He says he grew up watching football and hearing his father’s stories from when he played, so he decided to start playing and instantly developed a love for the game. His favorite athletes growing up were J.J. Watt and Andrus Peat. He also adds that he will miss the team morale and the family mentality that his high school team had. Aside from football, Peresich likes fishing, hunting, and welding. Peresich is interested in attending McNeese State University, and he says he is looking forward to learning about the world and growing into being successful while earning his degree.
