Class of 2022 Recruit Spotlight: Westminster Christian Academy QB Gage Barton

After going 3-5 during the 2020 season, Westminster Christian Academy is having a very good season. They have started out well going 6-0 before dropping there next three games. They are led by Quarterback Gage Barton. When asked how the season has been Gage said, “it’s been pretty good”. While they started out strong at the start of the season, they have struggled in district. They play Opelousas Catholic on Friday and Gage said for them to win they need to, “play fast and hard, limit turnovers, and gain turnovers.”

Gage is a 6’3 160 pound quarterback for the Crusaders. The thing that he most wants to improve on is turning the ball over. The player who he models his game after is former Heisman Trophy winner and former LSU Quarterback Joe Burrow. As far as the next level, his top schools currently are Louisiana Lafayette and LSU. The thing that he is looking for most in where he goes to school is the school’s academics. He currently has a 4.0 GPA. While in , he hopes to major in dentistry. In his spare time, he enjoys going hunting and fishing.

Mac Rowe is from Houston, Texas and is currently a senior at LSU. He has a great love for all sports, but mostly football.
