Class of 2023 Recruit Spotlight: Cecilia High School RB/MLB Ridge Collins

I had the opportunity to speak with Cecilia High School RB/MLB Ridge Collins. Collins is 5-11 and weighs 213 pounds, which is a good size for both positions he’s playing. Collins told me his maxes for squat being 440, as well as hang clean being 315, but couldn’t tell me his bench press only because when he was maxing out for bench, he was able to rep out 225. Collins’s top 3 s that he wants to attend are LSU, ULL, and Alabama. Collins couldn’t tell me about his stats from the season, but his highlights speak for itself. On the defensive side, he wraps up and drives through his tackles and when he’s on the offensive side of the ball, he runs downhill and is relentless in evading tackles.

As for outside of football, Collins says he enjoys playing video games and spending time with his girlfriend and family. When asked what Collins loves about football, he simply responded with “everything”. He grew up playing it and has always had a love for the game which doesn’t seem like stopping anytime soon. Collins feels his improvement for the offseason needs to be focused on speed while his size is solid.
