As it is every other day here at Louisiana Football Magazine, it has been pretty busy especially over the last couple months when we have conducted our Louisiana Football Magazine photo shoots over that time period. We have finished our 23rd annual magazine cover shoot, but this year will mark the third straight year in which we have conducted both a North and South photo shoot. This year, we shot the North photo shoot at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches and we shot the South photo shoot at Catholic High School in baton-rouge. Both events were really successful, and we would like to thank everybody who has helped us make both events so special for the players that were involved. Besides taking the photos, Louisiana Football Magazine’s owner Lee Brecheen and editor Jace LeJeune got the chance to talk to some of the top Class of 2020 players in the state of the Louisiana. Both Brecheen and LeJeune talked to the recruits about their top schools, goals for the upcoming season, hobbies, and so much more. The good news is that football season begins this month. Here at Louisiana Football Magazine, we know that you have been waiting long enough for some Louisiana football to start so we will post these video interviews that were taken at both photoshoot events to help you get through that time!

In today’s recruit interview, we go to Catholic High School where our own Jace LeJeune got the chance to talk to Catholic Pointe Coupee High School senior ATH Nick Carriere!

Nick Carriere: Carrying off from his older brother Nathan Carriere (Louisiana baseball), who led the Catholic High School (Pointe Coupee) Hornets to a 10-2 record as the starting quarterback in 2017, Nick Carriere has a chance to lead the Hornets to big things this Fall. Carriere, who will lead a very talented backfield, has a chance to go down as one of the best players in program history. At 5-11, 180 pounds, Carriere has become one of Coach David Simoneaux's favorite players. His versatility really sets him apart as he can play running back, wide receiver, defensive back, and even at linebacker some times. Last season, he accounted for over 1,000 yards and seven touchdowns on offense. He also had over 118 tackles his sophomore season as well. It is safe to say that in order for the Hornets to have their best season since the Dale Weiner and Jim Hightower days, they would need some big time production from their best player. As of right now, Carriere has not received any offers from schools, but he is hoping that s take notice as he has gotten bigger, stronger, and faster for his senior season.

In today's recruit video spotlight, our own Jace LeJeune caught up with the versatile Catholic High School (Pointe Coupee) athlete to talk about his goals for the upcoming season, his top schools he wants to attend, what he wants to improve on for the upcoming season, and so much more!
