Carter Petry has finished his junior year of high school football and is getting ready for his senior year of high school football with the Kaplan Pirates. Petry and his team faced a first-round defeat to Jennings High School in the Division II (Non-Select) playoffs. Petry and the pirates are looking to improve upon this record.

"I think we have a good shot at going 10-0 (next season)" said Petry "I plan to play to the best of my abilities and outdo my accomplishments from last season."

Petry and his team are building on their performance from last season to give them the edge in the upcoming season.

"I take a lot of pride in playing for Kaplan High, and me and my team worked hard for the outcome of the season, " said Petry "We all bleed and gold, and we all work to get better every day."

Petry is not a player to be underestimated on the field. He was first-team all-district and all-parish for TE.

"I had a great team around me with some great leaders that showed me how to lead and push me to the best of my abilities," said Petry

Petry doesn't intend to stop with high school football. Petry states "I would be honored to play at the next level and I have every intention of playing if I am able to do so. I would love to show the world the work I have put into this game."

"I am excited to finish off my high school career on a high note, " said Petry "We have a great following and a very supportive fan base and we can't wait to make them proud. Go pirates. "
