Gage Shepherd has finished his final year of high school football in strong form by reaching the quarterfinals of the 2023 Division IV (Non-Select) playoffs. Shepherd's ability has been noticed and he has received an offer from Louisiana Christian College. He is currently deciding between whether to attend Louisiana Christian College or Champion Christian College. He plans to major in education.

"I played football my last two years of school to try something new and I ended up liking it, " said Shepherd

Shepherd does not plan to continue playing football at the college level because he plans to follow his passion and play college baseball.

"The previous football season was great," said Shepherd "I learned a lot and became a better player every day,"

This year was challenging for the team Shepherd said. He said that two of their most important players were out for the season due to various reasons. Despite this, Shepherd and his team held strong and put up an impressive performance including a narrow victory over Oakdale High School (32-34) in the second round of playoffs.
