Isaiah McKinney, a talented cornerback and safety from Grant High School, is gearing up for his senior year. Standing at 5’11” and weighing 185 pounds, Isaiah had a standout season last year, recording 4 interceptions with over 30 tackles. Although he isn't ranked at the moment, his performance speaks volumes about his capabilities on the field.
Isaiah holds his coaches in high regard, saying, “I love my coaches and what they’ve done for me so far throughout all my career from 7v7 and in the season.” He embraces the challenges of his position, noting, “My current position is the best position on the field and also the most difficult, but I like the challenge and I’ve been handling it well.”
While he hasn't been officially recruited, Isaiah has garnered interest from several colleges, including LA Tech, Millsaps College, SFA, UAM, and John Melvin University. Outside of football, Isaiah enjoys painting and practicing yoga, finding these activities relaxing and beneficial for his muscles.
His favorite college is LA Tech, where he appreciates the atmosphere and the excellent coaching staff. When it comes to NFL teams, he supports the Chiefs, Seahawks, and Ravens. Looking ahead to college, Isaiah plans to major in mechanical engineering or physical therapy, combining his passion for sports with a solid academic foundation.
Isaiah's dedication to football, academics, and extracurricular activities highlights his well-rounded character and ambition as he prepares for the next steps in his athletic and academic journey.
