Jacob Hernandez is gearing up to take on his senior year of high school football with the Deridder Dragons. They are coming off a second-round finish in the Division II (Non-Select) playoffs. Hernandez and his team are preparing to improve on this record in the 2024 season.
"(Last season) was good, we had a pretty successful season and got to the second round of playoffs," said Hernandez "I feel like I could've had a better year and I plan on having a great senior year,"
Hernandez is looking to improve on his team's record this coming season stating "I think we can be successful and have a good season and hopefully make a good run in the playoffs,"
Hernandez is currently undecided on what college to attend and is currently deciding. He plans to major in physical therapy.
"I've played football for my whole life and it has been a sport I was passionate about," said Hernandez "I hope that it will help me get an education,"
Hernandez does not intend to stop playing football after high school. He plans on playing at the next level stating "I do intend to keep playing at the next level because I love the game,"
