As a rising senior playing football at Kentwood High School, La’mikal covers last season by mentioning having 27 sacks, making him the lead in Louisiana and number 5 in the nation. He had a total of 141 tackles and comments on how much the support of his coaches mean to him. “I love my coaches. The communication, the love, the bond we have is amazing! I love my positions because that’s what I love doing, but if there is anywhere to play on the field, I will play it! Wherever the coach needs me!”
In a recent interview, when asked about his passions, La’mikal expressed a profound love for church and family, stating, "I love going to church and worshiping our amazing God. I also love spending time with my family and playing video games."
Reflecting on preferred schools, Nebraska stands out due to its serene atmosphere, as the interviewee notes, "because of the atmosphere that they have out there and it’s calm down there." However in terms of future aspirations attending the University of Louisiana Lafayette to study criminal justice is the main goal.
La’mikal concluded by sharing a personal mantra, quoting Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me," showcasing a reliance on faith as a source of strength and guidance.
