Carter does not intend to stop with just high school football. He plans to attend Southern University where he plans to continue to play football while majoring in agriculture.
"I do intend to play at the next level," said Carter "I don't want to stop doing what I love."
Carter received multiple offers from colleges including ones from Louisiana Christian University, Centenary College of Louisiana, Millsaps, and Culver Stockton.
Carter is quite happy with his final football season at Plaquemine High School stating "It was electric with a completely new coaching staff and coming off a 9-2 season it felt like we had something to prove." he also states that "It was a great season statistically and it was the most challenging considering we had to replace eight senior defensive starters."
Carter first got involved in football at a young age. he states "I found it fun when I was a little kid and all my friends played it so when I got older and I realized I could actually be good I just kept playing."
