Tyler Welch is getting ready for his senior year of high school football with Huntington High School. He and his team are coming off of a round-one defeat in the Division I (Select) Playoffs to Woodlawn, and they are ready to improve upon this performance.

"(Last Season) was decent, could of did better but in all it was good," said Welch

Welch stated that football is his passion and has been since he was 9 years old. He plans to continue playing at the next level because "I told my people that I was gone go to the NFL and I have to keep that promise."

Welch is already being noticed by colleges looking to pick him up to play at the next level. He has received offers from Tulsa and Louisiana Tech. He is currently deciding between a few colleges which to attend, including Tulsa, LA Tech, University of Louisiana, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Baylor.

Welch is looking forward to the next season stating " (My goal is) to have the best season yet and to get first team all-state and MVP.
